2024 Rangers just started shipping last week. RR’s hopefully this week. I don’t have a vin yet but my dealer said I was their only order. Hoping I’ll get a build in May, but it’s Ford. Could be next year… lol
That's great for a stock suspension, but the people looking at this mod are already running longer than stock coilovers.
The Bronco suspension is great, and I appreciate the work Ford obviously put in to it to make it a fun driving machine both on and off road. If I had bought a Ford...
I forget about all the different suspension configurations. I also don't have a rear sway bar and am thinking adding one might tame the bump steer a bit.
Carli is running Kings with their tune, no track bar riser bracket, and no rear sway bar. They say they don't feel the need for a track bar...
RE: track bar and lift
After putting on an Icon lift I get annoying rear bump steer. I don't have a track bar riser bracket yet, but it is my next mod. This is something I feel every day, every drive. The more I read, the more I understand most people with lifts experience this. I run 1 click...
you're saying something you cannot back up.
that would require looking into the laws of (at least) every state. looking for prior cases (in each state) for precedence. interpreting the law and arguments and guessing how a judge would rule (in each jurisdiction).
the argument has been rehashed...
They don't have it. It's sitting in the lot with every other '24 Ranger that has been built waiting for OKTB before shipping. Maybe sitting for months...
Probably start shipping next month.
Edited my replies above to include the account lock to the Performance Tune and inability to get updates to the Performance Tune Ford may make.
Thanks guys.
I guess I'll have to check for Tune updates at some point...
If you can't get updates, then that would be a big deal for me.
Couldn't you just create a new Ford Performance account to download the ProCal updates?
That's why I'm thinking it might not be a big deal if you let the dealer use their account, especially if you never plan to DIY. I just don't know what would happen if you went to a different dealer using a different account to use the ProCal.
e.g.,
Dealer1 installs the ProCal performance tune...
Yes.
The ProCal is super easy to use. You can apply the tune and tire size change yourself.
If the ProCal is programming the steering rack I'd hook up a battery charger in case it takes 20-30 minutes. You wouldn't want your car battery to die during the programming.
As for ProCal use. You...
Yep, clunk when getting the suspension to flex on the road, like when pulling into a parking lot.
I could also hear a rattling over rough pavement and feel the rear being "more sloppy" and harsher impacts over rough roads.
You can easily get to most/all of the bolts, except the passenger, upper...
