Contact point appears to be much closer to the edge, see dark areas, from what I saw after install the rivets aren't touching.

I found folding that nylon strap over and using 3 colors made it fill out enough for my bigger hands.

I made my own as well. This was my first variation. I ended up making some with white in them as well. I have an oxford white sasquatch. Get some of these and wrap the paracord around it. I have a video I've never posted on the actual weaving if anyone is interested.
