  1. Black Box, what is it?

Interesting thing is that a lot of these "used" units are for sale on ebay.... Although giving it the flock treatment with a bat, or even a 9mm would be much more satisfying.
  2. Black Box, what is it?

Disconnected the box from the battery and no problems, so I removed it, carefully. Damn good double stick tape. it is an Ikon Technologies unit which i already knew to be a tracker. They clearly don't want it identified so it goes on label down as the pics indicate. Interesting thing is...
  3. Black Box, what is it?

My first thought was it was held on with double stick, and it may well be. But if it is, it is the strongest double stick I have ever encountered. I'll disconnect for a while and see if there is anything not working. Then I'll attempt to remove it intact. Lastly I'll get back on this thread...
  4. Black Box, what is it?

Very probable. I bought it used and it was a special order vehicle according to the original window sticker. I bought it from the original dealer.
  5. Black Box, what is it?

I did buy it used, thanks.
  6. Black Box, what is it?

Does anyone know what this black box is? It sits next to the fuse box and has periodic amber and green light blinking almost all of the time. It is wired into the battery as shown with a red wire which is spliced into the black wire bundle but has a lot of extra wire zip tied as shown. It is...
  7. What’s Always in Your Bronco?

Ditto with 2 extra 9mm magazines....
  8. Tailgate not locking

Did you program it? I installed the OEM hitch kit and it did mess up the rear proximity alert. Took it to the dealer and had it programmed and that issue vanished. No problems with the handle or locking.
  9. Dial In Your Bronco's Night Visibility with Ditch Lights 🔥

That is my experience exactly. Two close misses on deer in the first three months I had my Bronco. My new ditch lights are great and should help me avoid such near misses. Like you I used the far right switches but I used both of them, one right and one left. That way I can leave the right...
  10. More Sound deadening for wind noise

Be sure to get one of the newer, feminized, Defenders if you do. The older and more off road capable versions were every bit as noisy as the Bronco.
  11. Naming My Bronco

My folks raised them in the 1960's. I've outlived 4 so far, and 10 years is about it. Without a doubt the best breed.
  12. Naming My Bronco

Nice Rottie too. Sure miss mine. They just don't live very long...
  13. Do you call your Bronco a car or truck?

An older gentleman driving a 90's vintage pickup walked up to my open window, yesterday in the parking lot, and said "Nice Truck!" So there is that unbiased vote.
