I had that problem too during install and yes, I used the wrong holes. I took a photo to line up with yours (this is the correct position) but it looks the same to me.

This is my DIY version of an altimeter: It's an M5Dial with a GPS module attached (SKU U032-V11). The code was written by Claude Code and uploaded to the device with Arduino IDE. I use the device for other purposes mostly. The mount is a simple laser cut piece of acrylic and tripod mount.

Did you notice if the 12V lighter power adapter ran hot? I tried using the power adapter that Revolink sells (here) and it got very toasty connected to that rear cargo 12V port. Maybe you can suggest one that works well and doesn't cook itself when plugged into the 12V power port?
