I solder and shrink wrap my connections. I’ve also used the solder stick connectors with some success but prefer the good old fashioned way

The dealer told me it’s an idiosyncrasy of the 10 speed transmission and is “normal”. Frankly I’ve Never had that in any of my previously owned cars….

Considering it’s intended uses I’d say that’s a good choice. The SAS package has all and more than what you need And I love the 10speed even though it has a few quirks.
