I've had the RockSlide steps on my Bronco for 3 years with no issues at all. I initially got them for my 5'2" wife but I use them everyday myself and glad I installed them. They probably hang down as much or lower than any other step which makes getting in/out a lot easier. I will open the...
I can't recall ever hearing my KO3s sling a rock and I have no dings after 3 years. They are factory 33s so not sure if the wider ones like the sasquatch would be any different. I also have a 1000' gravel driveway up to the house.
The rock that took out my windshield after 3 years came from a semi- trailer that changed lanes in front of the car that I was behind. The rock flew right past his side window and smacked mine. That car got lucky, but even it was not tailgating until the truck moved over in front of it.
3/8" that I had lying around in the shop. I stuck it to the truck along the perimeter of the factory hole. I did not want any metal to metal contact between the box and the truck that might start squeaking plus there's a slight chance some water intrusion could get up in there. Seemed to work...
The heat shield on my 2dr had 4 10mm bolts and two push
pins. It was simple to get to on mine. You can just give it a tug after the 4 bolts are out and the push pins will pop out.
I have the same from Mabett and they do fine. No rattles, on/off in a jif and I paid only $229 back when they first came out. I wish they had a panel to cover the front hinges like some do but apparently you get what you pay for, lol.
If the oil drain plug has not been leaking when I take it out I will reuse it. By changing it every time I would actually be worried I would get a bad "new" one .
Mine went in super easy. I have the Steeda axle back exhaust so the factory heat shield was very easy to get off. The factory muffler was easy to get off as I remember as well, in case you still have that in place. I had no problem holding the box and top trim panel in place by myself to put...
