THIS....exact same with me. Live in ontario. Never does it in winter or spring. Soon as summer arrives, it starts happening.
This is 100% transmission related. Dont believe me? When coming to a stop, slow down and very gently come to a stop. When you feel it downshift into 1st, it will not...
My 2.3 auto does this exact same noise. Ill try to capture on recording. I live on the hwy and so I really hear it under load accelerating up to hwy speeds in the morning. Still does it when engine is warm, just way less.
Glad im not the only one. I ruled out wastegate actuator - it was loose...
My 2.3 10 speed does this but only in sport mode when lightly accelerating from a stop. Feels like im tapping the throttle then letting go 3 times in a row.
I have a 2022 big bend and notice all of the above. Specifically the lurching when slowing down only happens when im in sport mode. Never in normal mode.
The big thing that annoys me is the clunking that happens when I put it into reverse or drive or sometimes when it downshifts while going...
Same with mine. Loose like that, and causes rattle upon acceleration. Other ford f150 forums have the same issue and attached a spring to stop the chatter noise. Im playing with an idea in my head: attaching a small weight to the actuator arm, preventing the loose rattle.
I'm surprised there's barely any other posts about this. I've owned a lot of vehicles that had a lot of issues that never bothered me...but this clunk almost made me jump and I had to research it asap.
