  1. NOW AVAILABLE: BOSS "Walker Link" Sway Bar Shock System - Great alternative to disconnects!

I used to have an antirock on my Jeep, so I understand what THAT is. It's definitely not the same thing as the stock sway bar because it's a torsion bar. So it allows a significant increase in body roll. It's a trade off: better off road, worse on road. My question is not how the antirock...
  2. Who actually off-roads their 7MT?

The last manual I had was my 06 Jeep Wrangler. It wasn't bad, but you can stall out in bad spots. Most would say that an auto is better for wheeling, especially rock crawling. The people that disagree are the die hard manual folks lol. I had my Jeep swapped from manual to auto because it's a...
  3. To the AudioPhiles in our Bronco Family ....

At least according to my car audio shop, no. I was told it's high quality. Do you have info that contradicts?
  4. NOW AVAILABLE: BOSS "Walker Link" Sway Bar Shock System - Great alternative to disconnects!

I'm considering these instead of getting disconnects. My rig is my DD and will honestly not be taking it wheeling that much, I have Jeep that is a dedicated trail rig. I used to have an antirock on the Jeep. I didn't complain much about the added body roll. Though ended up switching to an ORO...
  5. Off-road Navigation -- NavOffroad IOS or other apps?

I've never heard of Navoffroad. I've used Trailsoffroad, OnX, and Gaia. OnX had a free one year trial a few months ago for Ford owners. I'm not sure if that's still available. Great app though!
  6. What's the Biggest Lesson You've Learned Off-Roading?

This reminds me of another thing to keep in mind. If it's been raining lately, you may be dealing with mud. I led a run with 5 Jeeps. The trail was normally 'stock friendly'. This time we went a couple days after some heavy rain. Going downhill was like a ski slope. Once you started going down...
  7. Very Clean Midland MXT575 GMRS Radio Install with Mountains2Metal Bracket and 67 Designs Mic Mount

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but clicked the link for the 67 designs center dash ball. I thought this was funny (and odd): I did see that Bulletpoint offers essentially the same thing...
  8. To the AudioPhiles in our Bronco Family ....

This what annoys me about Sirius. You CAN get them down to around $6 / month (was recently $5). Though it will only be for one year max, then it goes up to whatever their awful rate is now. I was a Howard Stern fan, so I kept it up. Just have to put it on your calendar when it's going to expire...
  9. To the AudioPhiles in our Bronco Family ....

My main source of music is a USB drive with FLAC files that I ripped myself. Though I'm 54 and kept all my CD's. After putting a system in my last DD, I told my installer that the bass is still lacking. He turned me onto FLAC files since I was using mostly .mp3, which are compressed and have...
  10. What's the Biggest Lesson You've Learned Off-Roading?

Agree with carrying a saw (although I don't have one... yet). A few years ago we had a guy get a Jeep Cherokee stuck on top of a small shrub. He had no recovery points and it turned into a long recovery. Would've been great to have a saw.
  11. Seat comfort and support Question

From what I've read, don't recall anyone complaining about the seats that is close to 5' 8". Most seem to be 6'. If you're concerned, I would try to get one with the power seats. More adjustability and I have read they're more comfortable. I don't know of anyone that has done aftermarket...
  12. Seat comfort and support Question

I've had mine for 2 weeks and still trying to find the sweet spot. So far what you mentioned above seems to be the best I've tried so far: Raise the seat up a bit, but not to where you can't see stop lights. Raise the steering column as high as it can go. Then lower a little, but make sure your...
  13. If you could get rid of one ownership headache, what would it be?

Also add a couple seat memory buttons on the electric seats. I now don't want my wife to drive it. I even thought it would be cool to rig up a hidden kill switch so nobody can adjust the seats (service, etc.) haha.
  14. Seat comfort and support Question

Do you have the manual seats or the electric? You can swap out the manual seats for electric, just have to find them.
  15. 3rd Day of Bronco Ownership

Congrats on the purchase! I got mine a few days before you on 7/9 However, I do agree with most of the things you think should be added, I wouldn't want to pay extra.
