I don’t think anyone cares if ford offers pink broncos. Jeeps been doing it for years. It’s the design that’s bad. It’s just as bad as the free wheelin trim and we all know those don’t sell at all. Jeep pulls off the factory pink look much better.
Can someone please explain where the almost $14k is? This package seems about 6-7k and I think you’d have a hard time finding buyers at that price. The Filson Bronco has essentially the same types of upgrades (only better) AND has the raptor motor, for roughly the SAME price as the desert rising...
You guys like the colors? That’s the worst part. Brass plastic with green leather in the interior and bronze on the exterior? Everything else is pretty good though.
I actually like this grille, but I’ve always liked the egg crate/mesh style of grilles on Ford’s. Here is how I’d rank them:
1. Wildtrak/badlands grille
2. This new grille
3. Base/black diamond grille
4. 60th anniversary grille
5. Big bend/outer banks
im not sure on those wheels. They look way...
This seems like a downgrade on any model except big bend, especially the wheels.
If I were ford, here is how I would have done it:
-black painted fenders
-black painted door handles
-black painted mirror caps
-new badlands wheels in black
-black wildtrak grille
-black bronco and ford emblem...
I like the idea of this, but not a fan of the execution. Get rid of all the neon. Lose the graphics. Spend that money on a black painted hard top. Keep everything else the same. The version with 33” wheels coming in cheaper than the badlands would sell pretty well if it was made as outlined above.
The article states:
“according to one of the sources, who drew the comparison with the Merc G-Wagen—which also makes the Range Rover another likely target”
I think they are comparing it to a g-wagon due to its boxy off road design, not necessarily being an actual competitor at $100k+ price. I...
I’d love to see any of these colors in the coming years:
Leadfoot gray
Guard
Grabber blue
Vapor blue
Dark highland green
Shelter green
Code orange
Sedona orange
Rich copper
Dark copper
Magma red
Kodiak Brown
$995 for that? Should be more like a $995 discount. I get that some people want some bright colors, but absolutely no one is asking for school bus colors. There’s so many colors to choose from, I don’t understand why they keep picking this.
It’s good to finally get confirmation of the wheels. These look really good. I’ve liked these ever since they came out on the Everest Tremor. Guess I’ll be looking for take offs in the next few months when these are more widely available.
I understand why some people like them, but automakers have conditioned customers to think steelies are subpar wheels by making them as the base model wheel. I have no issues with ford offering them, but if I’m paying extra for a package, it better come with some wheels that have mass appeal.
The only good thing I see here is avalanche paint. Free wheeling sticking around? That’s gotta be the worst selling package ford has ever offered. Guess they have too many rainbow stickers left over from the 25’s that they need to get rid of. Why bring back the black steelies? If I’m paying...
Ford really needs to fire whoever is creating these bronco special editions. Free wheelin, coastal package, 60th anniversary, and now this? This thing reminds me of a junkyard truck
