  7. After 40 days, my Bronco is back home after new 2.7 engine replacement (for dropped valve)!

    Attached a pic I found of a pre-replacement 2.7 ECO for comparison. I have no idea what I'm looking at but someone will.

    I've attached a picture of the sticker from my Bronco. Let me know if this is correct. Again, build date August 9. Also attached a picture of some other info mechanic gave me.

    Yeah, I'll be stuck with a loaner with a huge list of rules for who knows how long. Can't offroad or go anywhere with my two dogs which is a huge deal for me.

    I wouldn't consider mileage the only variable. In my situation it happened the first time the temperature hit the teens and @ 1900 miles in my driveway. Things get brittle in the cold so if you happen to be in a warmer climate you may just have a more delayed fuse than those in the north.
