It was either here or on another automotive site but I remember seeing pictures from someone that had removed the entire interior including side panels, seat, etc. No matter where I look I have not been able to find it.

I can't speak for American brands, but most other brands like BMW, Benz, etc all let you order a car for lease. The whole 'buying from the lot" thing is pretty uniquely North American, everyone else orders their vehicles to spec.

Apply a layer of butyl sound deadening mat (dynamat, hushmat, or amazon makes a good alternative for $50 a box).

Great review. I've seen multiple mentions of the noise from the roof in other reviews as well, is this a weather-stripping issue?
I'm curious as to if there are any remedies for the noise or if it will be solved by the new MIC manufacturer, as I plan on using mine on longer road trips.
