Thanks. Whenever I see something different, it makes me wonder what else I've missed. Before retirement, I was a pre-press tech who did troubleshooting of customers electronic files before prepping to make plates for the printing presses.
Hey everyone,
When I started up my '22 BD this morning, the infotainment window launched to the settings menu instead of the home page. Then in front of the settings, a notification window opened up saying, "Bronco Saved." Then it disappeared before I could get a pic of it. Anybody get this...
Mostly just vapor residue. 2.3. I-4 motor. Manual trans. Installation goes from the valve cover back to pre-turbo side. The Bronco lives on the great plains of Kansas. Normally from -10 to 40 degrees Celsius. From home elevation of 400 meters up to slightly over 3600 meters in the Rocky...
Oh, my bad. I had seen an OTA come across on my '22 as a PCM update. Thought it was the same thing.
Edit: Yup, I was looking at the PCM 24.06.02 that came across lately.
Nostalgia. Dad had a '68 Bronco. It came from the factory as a custom color--solid Acapulco Blue a '68 Mustang color, no white top. So Velocity Blue was the only choice. My Sis had to approve this plus the manual transmission and 2 door model. All good according to her!
Another 3k open up and have a look. About 1/32" deep black oily emissions at bottom. Also some orange white-ish residue too.
edit. The side of the screen facing down also had residue all around the black edging. Definitely caught more this time. I had already wiped it off.
Glad that a fuel pump resolution is getting closer. I was offered a service appt on Wednesday to do the seat bolt recall 25SB5 on my '22 BD. Hope they let me watch. I am curious as I did find a loose (or spare) bolt last summer on the floor behind the driver's seat.
