I use 'touch' car wash frequently. I treat the MIC with 303 graphene coating and treat the rubber seals with a treatment as well. I don't have any issues. I'm not too picky about the top though as long as it's functional and not leaking.

Same here. I work at power plant that emits caustic/acidic elements from our cooling towers sometimes. Also, we are located next to a rock quarry so there is limestone dust all over. 303 has worked pretty good for me. I've also used gasket treatment on the seals.

I ended up going with the slow cure JB Weld. Feels pretty solid. Pics show damage/repair. Still have to sand, paint and clear coat.
