Like most nice things I doubt any of these will be rolling off the lots under 60k, but you're right that this is impressive. Hats off to GM. I'm amazed that the zero-60 is sub 3 seconds (even if barely) while weighing 300 lbs. more than a Ford GT and having 150 less hp.

Looks like it sucks off road.
Crazy part is that it’s better than previous corvettes... it has a suspension lift feature that can be either manually activated when needed or programmed to automatically activate at certain points you tell it to through GPS.

I'm pretty blown away that they were able to keep the base price down to 60k. This is going to be a pretty insane performance bargain, and that's what corvettes are all about. I'm less disappointed about the manual given that it now has a proper DCT rather than a slushbox. Can't wait to see this thing sticking it to much more expensive cars.

I'm also definitely looking forward to the first time I see one out on track so I can see how it compares to my C6 Z06. Little more weight, little less power, much newer tech, and mid engine...

I think literally the only thing I don't like is that weird squarish steering wheel.

Don't bet on it chevy will only roll out the highly optioned cars first 70k plus I guaranty if your wanting a stripo c8 you'll have to find a dealer that will order it and good luck. Remember this Gladiator ADMed 58k to 70k

Not in the same category of cars and I bet this shift to mid engine will kill corvette.
I don't think so. I do know that many of the GT500 preorder people are now second guessing themselves! haha! Easily spending $100k on that Shelby. ugh.

First year ALL new vette at that price point is going to be a trainwreck for reliability.
No free lunch, had to cut costs somewhere. And a FI drivetrain designed for well
over 700 will have no problem putting down 1000 with minor mods.

For the record the Gladiator in this picture is still for sale. ADM sucks and this is WAY to expensive for a Jeep. This is from someone who loves Jeeps and currently has two in his driveway.

I wish more dealers were like you I've walked away from a couple of dealers because they wouldn't remove the ADM even after I let them know I knew what the ADM was.
