Went on our first topless drive yesterday.
It was a bit too chilly at 67F to do this, but we survived.
Stopped at a park to take a few glamour shots of the Bronco.

I ordered them just the way they are from GearAmerica via Amazon.
They are not a color match, but I like the contrast.

GearAmerica UBER Shackles with Anti-Theft Lock – 80,000 Lbs (40 T) Strength – Connect Tow Strap or Winch Line for Off-Road Recovery – Towing D-Rings and ⅞” UberLock Security Pin – Orange, 2-Pack

Thanks. Ya. That way too cold to go topless. Or even full top. :)

Sweet ride & congrats.

I got the same orange shackles from Gear America - noticed you don’t have the isolaters/spacers on them. Do the shackles bang against the bumper without the idolaters?

Are those the upgraded rims and you just powder coated the beauty rings? Or did you just go a different route with the rims & tires?

And last question - the mud flaps are from Ford? Installed by Ford?

Great looking truck.

Thanks.. hmmm I did install 2 of the 4 isolators per side. Maybe I didn't install them correctly. If I used all of them it wouldn't fit over the D-Ring.

Wheels and Tires are factor.. no changes to that yet. Wildtrack Sasquatch.

Mud Flaps are from Ford but installed by 4 Wheel Parts. It was a bigger project than I had the time or facilities to do. GatorBack was great to work with providing instructions and phone support to the installer. It required removal of the OEM steps , swapping Drivers side to Passenger and reversing the direction so it would push back about 1 inch. Then drilling new holes in the brackets and the steps to make it line up properly. If we were not planning an off road drive in May, I would have held off for someone to make an easier set to install or maybe not. No regrets really.

I have a set of Baja Design Lights on order which hopefully will complete my build.

Thanks again.

DESA 2 is a sharp looking Bronco ... been thinking hard about that retro strip! Are those the Gear American orange shackles and FORD OME mud flaps?

Can't wait to get top off weather over this way. It was real cold the last couple of days with snow squalls

Thanks,
You are correct on all counts. Ford Retro stripes but i left the Wildtrack hood graphic there. I think the Retro was a bit over the top.

So, are those the yellow gear America shackles? I went orange but I think both can work.

Like those fog lights I want to get a set

Yellow ambull. Wanted gearamerica, but they are out of the insulators that fit the yellow shackles. Once in stock I'm ordering to see if I like ambull or gearamerica better. The insulators actually came with the ambull shackles. Definitely reduces noise and rubbing.

But this matches the cyber orange paint pretty closely.
