So has anyone rock crawled one of these with real lockers and 40's or better that you've heard?
No Idea on the combination of lockers and 40's but i'm sure someone has run 40's. Doing some rough crawling you would probably notice degradation of steering assist/quality. It would still steer though, but at that point I would be more worried about the stock knuckles than the steering gear.

Car and Driver does not perform their acceleration testing on a prepped surface, and several of the fastest cars they have tested have been rear wheel drive.

Have you watched the latest season of Fastest Car on Netflix? They race a quarter mile on unprepped runways, and a fox body Mustang smoked a Tesla and was right with it off the line. All but one of the cars in the final race were rear wheel drive.

So he doesn't have enough tire. Top fuel dragsters are capable of burning their tires the entire length of the track. Does that mean they would be faster if they were all wheel drive?
So all I have to do on the street is run full drag race suspension, huge slicks, and do a burnout first (EVERY time).
Thanks for clearing that up..........

You are just being ridiculous. As I mentioned before, Car and Driver doesn't test on a prepped track, do burnouts, or alter tire pressure from the factory recommended levels. Here are some bone stock RWD car times Car and Driver observed during testing:

2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 — 3.0 seconds 0-60, 10.8 sec @ 135 mph 1/4-mile
And none of those are the traditional muscle cars. Maybe the vette, but it's more exotic
like the rest you listed, these days .

This is what AWD gets you. 150/200 less HP/TQ, 617 lbs more weight, 285/vs 335 tire, 20 grand less.
0-60 2.8.

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a17804645/2018-bmw-m5-test-review/

And it's going be very close to that on the street every day, almost anytime.
Chevy gets it, finally going AWD with the top vette..........

Fastest 5 cars in the world (0-60), ALL AWD...........
(and fastest production car being the Spyder)

1. Rimac C_Two 1.9 s
2. Porsche 919 Hybrid (Mk II) 1.9 s
3. Audi R18 e-Tron Quattro 1.9 s
4. Toyota TS040 2.2 s
5. Porsche 918 Spyder 2.2 s

What a beauty. You know, I've never understood the yellow stripes on the splitter myself. Good call on taking those off. Enjoy

I
I will give you an all wheel drive car is typically much easier to launch, and can launch incredibly hard, but that extra weight and friction allows for rear wheel drive cars to catch them.
My original statement was my issue with 0-20, maybe 0-30 on the street. Typically, I can hook pretty good if I downshift
from a 30 MPH roll in my 14 TVS stang that has run 11.23 @ 126.23 so far. That 1/4 was on 18" 305 MT SS streets.

I run a 295 NT05 (not DR) for street driving (mainly because Nitto is really the only one that makes a tire that wide,
and maintains sort of the same 27+ inch diameter as the stock 18" tire was, as I wanted the sidewall for ride quality/
no rim damage from potholes). Very hard top hook on the street without severe "pedaling".

Sure I could go to a 15" 325 DR, but the DR's all handle like crap, and most of them are almost deadly in even a minor rain storm
(not that a NT05 is great, but it's better than any DR). These tires ALL suck when temps get lower too and some
may crack if used below freezing (where an AWD can use a less aggressive compound or even a AS and get
some pretty good 60' times).

So saying "just get more tire" sounds nice in theory, but electric front drive on TVS'd modern muscle cars, I think
would put their 0-60's right up there with the fastest electrics, and still give you the top end electrics can't get you
without spending 100 grand (I'm all in on my Stang for 35 grand, car and all parts bought new, the $35K
electric barely traps 104.......)

Oh my. A drag racing education on the Bronco forum. Lol. JK.

Hell, I should have expected it since I posted about a muscle car to begin with.

I enjoy discussions.
