How were the trails with the new Bronco?
No issues what so ever. We did run them in reverse, especially Pumpkin Hollow,, the hill climb would have been brutal,,,SxS have rutted it out pretty bad. Everything else was a walk in the woods.

Not too bad. Alot of the mud from Pumpkin Hollow washed off in all the water holes on Spaas Creek.

Bronco looks good with all the mods! Made quick work of those ruts too.

Been driving mine all weekend, and can't believe how good the suspension is compared to my Jeep. Can't wait to try it off the pavement.

Wait till you get it off road!!! Was thoroughly impressed with how mine did on the trails. Didn't even break a sweat. Can't be more pleased with mine.

Heading back to DBBB on Sunday and will be leading my neighbors sister and hubs in their Jeep CJ7 through Spaas and Pumpkin. They've never been, so should be interesting. They've wheeled before, just not up there. Figured to start them out mild.

Another successful outing on the DBBB. No casualties and no winch outs.

A couple of pics before and the one before wash. Going to have to remember to do trail pics. Ran across a group of kids on old yard tractors with mud tires out playing on Spaas. Run what ya brung I guess,,, looked to be having a blast.

Looks like a great time! I am heading to the DBBB in about 10 days in my Badlands w/ stock 33 inch tires, and my buddy in his Tacoma. We have recovery ropes but we don't have a winch. This is my first time doing that trail and we are not super experienced. Can you give advice on which parts of the trail to avoid, or which would be best for us?

Trail conditions can vary quite a bit depending on rainfall and trail use. However, the VAST majority of the system can be done without any concerns of getting stuck. The most difficult sections can be bypassed with a little planning.

By far the most important thing is to have the maps. Get the Cartotracks digital maps from ridethedbb.org and learn how to use it: https://www.ridethedbbb.org/map The biggest challenge on the DBBB is navigating it, making sure you don't take wrong turns, and staying off private property.

You will want 2 days to cover the whole thing in a comfortable amount of time.

The most difficult obstacles and trails are traditionally:

1. Furnace-Pilot Road (sometimes referred to as Mountain Springs). This is poorly maintained, deeply rutted out, and has several spots where you can get really stuck in the mud. You may want to bypass this.

2. Creek crossing on Fincastle Road. This is the deepest water crossing on the whole system and while the creek bottom is hard packed, the water is deep. Avoid this if you aren't comfortable performing a deep creek crossing.

3. Rock garden on Fincastle Road. This is the most difficult rock section on the whole loop. Easy to get high-centered if you don't have enough clearance or lockers. Avoid if you don't have a lot of experience rock crawling yet or don't want to bang on skidplates.

Punkin Hollow and Spaas Creek are fun trail sections and worth doing, although trail conditions can change with rainfall and erosion, and these are sometimes more difficult than others. The rest of the system is pretty straightforward with the navigation being the aspect that demands your attention.

My playlist with the entire trail system is below:

Another successful trip to RRG. Let the wife drive the trails this time. She needs to get used to what the Bronco can do. A few pics from today and a short video.
