I'm thinking about these cargo tub liner's for when I switch back to the ST soon (can't come fast enough, over this winter crap already)... Curious if anyone has them and if you like them? Any issues caused by them? Whistling, obstruction of seating for either top (I know you have to drill a hole in them for the HT pins, no big deal). Amazon link to them below, IAG product. I have no affiliation with either (although wish I did, Mr. Bezos)..

I bought them a while back (not sure if they were those identical ones) and the holes were misaligned and I had to drill a bit to get them on. I would say Meh. We have two broncos and I only got them for one. Usually, if its good, I buy it twice. Not terrible/not great. Just Meh.

After making the switchover from the hard top to the soft recently, I decided to give these a try. I like them! I like the way they look, but I also really like the protection they offer now for the paint when switching tops. The HT isn't a big deal because it's all plastic under it, just guiding it into the frame holes and then bolting down. But the soft top is a different animal. Heavier, clumsy, and metal mounting and frame. No margin of error to the paint if a mistake is made. At least with these tub rail covers, you'll have some forgiveness. Not hard to do. Just make sure you thoroughly wipe down the area with a rag and alcohol to make the tape grab and hold. Mine stuck to the car very well, no issues. For the dual top guys, I do recommend them. You can see how scratched up the roll bar covers are already, and I've only gone 100% retracted maybe 3 or 4 times ever. The whole area is ripe for damage. Ford could've done a little better job on that design aspect. Thankful for the aftermarket world.

I ordered the 4-door version, and the holes all lined up fine. I can see where the HT holes are ready for it as well already.

PS: if you're interested in it and don't want to take off the top, you'll need a 10mm ratchet wrench to slide under to get the bolts off, and then reinstall. Makes it easy, and you just have to remove the mounting bolts to the soft top on the inside and mess with lifting it up a little, not a lot. Also note, it's worth the money for a little touch up paint pen from the dealership. It'll strip the paint off the bolts once you take them off, but a little touch up, and all back to new again.

Here is what they look like on the inside. I like the added protection from the st frame rail potentially rubbing on the paint. It also makes that seal along the bottom of the st rail even tighter. I don’t have any paint damage from the top against the paint after two years, but still like having the added protection just in case. It’s a very subtle addition in terms of looks. Wouldn’t think it wasn’t always meant to be there.

Had you noticed any additional "whistle" caused the by ST seal on these caps?

My paint on left side worn to metal at 1200 miles. Ford finally issued a bulletin and offered a body shop.

Mine fits great and the holes were properly aligned. Make sure to adjust the side window bottom tracks after you install them. Mine was misaligned on one side and I couldn’t get one of the windows installed. I loosened the bolt and it fixed the situation.

I have the Mabett version and they work as advertised. I have seen some people cut larger holes to fit around the painted bolts so they don't have to remove/chip the paint. I didn't and regret that. One thing painted top people should realize is the plastic lip is always visible outside the truck. So previously where your rear fender meets the top it was just paint to paint. Now there is a piece of plastic trim in between. Not the worst look but I preferred the cleaner look stock. Inside looks much better though, not as raw metal as before.

I'd recommend the IAG rear top struts as well. They allow for one hand top articulation without hitting the roll bar. They also eliminate the need for the prop to hold open the top when going into the cargo area.

Now if I could only just fix that horrible squeak my ST is making (seems to be coming from the top rear bow area). I already hit the seals with Krytox which solved the "case of water bottles" squeak my tailgate was making, but this is a different squeak.

I've not, but my windows are out currently. I'll be putting them in tomorrow for the work week ahead and at highway speeds. I'll listen for any.

I like your style!!! Good looking garage you've got there!

I'm basically sponsored by IAG at this point, not sure who's made more money off of me on this car - Ford or IAG. I did buy the rear struts from them, but I never installed them. I didn't like the idea of not being able to guide the speed or the amount of travel for the opening. Sometimes I just need to lift it a few inches, and was worried what they'd be like in the freezing cold for the side windows if I had to lift the top a little bit. Hindsight 20/20 - I'm HT in the cold, so, clearly I had been drinking too much when I came to that conclusion that day.
