It has been a weird winter for Colorado, we have not had much snow this year. But Friday we got a few inches. I got in a few donuts and found some mud.

Great shot. I need to post a muddy snow shot of my A51 here too.

Are those Fifteen52 Patrol wheels?

Yessir they are. I bought it used and it came with those wheels and the Mickey Thompson tires and some Eibach shocks.

A51....it may be discontinued....but still the best color out there on a Bronco...day or night, muddy or clean!
it has aged into a classic color!

I had a Bronco Sport and loved it for what it is. However, it felt off for some reason.
I owned a 2006 Honda Ridgeline for 10 years and it felt like home. Solid, tough, easy to work on. It was a great combo. It finally started wearing out at 300k miles.
I felt like I might break the BS if I wasn't careful? Everything felt well built but a bit lighter than what I was used to. So I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted.
I found this baby as almost a lateral upgrade in tech: Badlands with the works.
I test drove it and it felt like HOME.
I know this is a bit over the top. However, I rely on my vehicles heavily. I live in the mountains and do stuff you don't normally do in towns.
We get random drops of 2ft of snow over night, with no police or grocery stores for 30 miles.
The room with the modularity of the entire vehicle is what finally sold me! Even better, it's a one owner driver! It runs so good.

I can't help but feel like with my normal work, the BS would be working at the upper end of its capability. Whereas with the Full Size, the truck would just cruise through the same work load.

We had a light winter but lots of mud. 4A was good enough for everything I went through this winter. Although we got six inches max at any one time, the bronco barely noticed it.
The tires matter soo much. I have Les Schwab Open Range tires on, with the 3peak Rating. In normal snow they grip all day, but against ice, they were more prone to losing traction than what I was used to.
My ridgeline had Nitto Terra Grappler G2's and those were my fav tires of all time. Lasted seven years and would grip snow and ice like it was solid pavement. I plan on replacing the Les Schwab tires with a set of those for sure.
Other than that, it felt like to the bronco everything thrown this winter was light duty work. The bronco is the real deal. I exercise the 4wd and lockers once a month just to keep the seals good. But yeah.

Man I love my Bronco. Finally picked some rims, and added a Bimimi. Area 51 is going to be a classic color in the future I bet.
