Interesting experience here…
I’ve been dealing with the hyper flash/driver side tail light brake/turn signal not working for a year now. It worked flawlessly in the summer but now that winters back it was doing it during cold mornings. Morimoto sent me some resistors that came in today (was told they are now 15 ohm instead of 10 ohm). Installed them and they didn’t work at all now where as my other resistors would work after about 5 mins and would work for the rest of the drive no problem. While trying to do self diagnosis I unplugged the resistor on the driver side and took a drive. Surprisingly the lights worked the entire time, no problem. I called them and the tech said that using the light with no resistor could be a viable option as long as it continues to work. Has anyone tried this? I don’t see why it wouldn’t continue to work as I’ve been told the RESISTOR being cold is what causes the hyper flash to begin with so with no resistor at all and no hyper flash there should be no hyper flash… right? let’s hope and see and would love to hear feedback if anyone has any!!
I tried running without the resistors and eventually got the fast flash. I then changed settings with FORScan to disable the fast flash, but still received a bulb short circuit DTC a short time later.

I just installed my 3rd replacement set, will report back when I drive it more, I don't expect them to work for very long on non-leds

Although I didn't go the Morimoto route on my 2023 BD, in less than two years, I've had to replace both LED bulbs and both resistors. I don't have the time or the patience to be tearing the tail light housings out every six months just so I can have LED's to the rear. I'm back to my factory halogens. It is what it is.

Anyone with a halogen bronco have these working? I called Morimoto last week and let them know the replacements are doing the same thing. They sent me 20ohm resistors which in theory should work. I haven't put them in yet. Has anyone put the 20ohm resistors in and have the tail lights working correctly?

Nope :( And you get a different response from everyone you talk to there unfortunately.

You will have no luck in this, im working on my 4th warranty claim with them, been through 2 or 3 different resistors and still has the issues. See this thread https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...oto-xb-tail-lights-issues.124587/post-2789561
