After running the GPE ported intake manifold by itself for a while, I honestly didn’t notice a significant difference in daily driving. The installation quality was good, but the performance gain wasn’t something I could clearly feel from the driver’s seat.
A few weeks later I installed the aFe upgraded throttle body while keeping all my existing modifications:
That’s when things changed.
The biggest improvement wasn’t peak power—it was throttle response. The Bronco feels more eager to move with less pedal input, especially in normal street driving. Tip-in response is noticeably sharper, and the engine feels more responsive throughout the lower RPM range.
If I had installed the throttle body first, I probably would have noticed the difference immediately. Because I already had the ported manifold installed, it’s difficult to say exactly how much each component contributes individually, but the combination definitely feels better than the manifold alone.
Would I recommend the ported manifold by itself?
Probably not unless you’ve already completed the common bolt-ons.
Would I recommend the aFe throttle body?
Yes. Out of the two upgrades, the throttle body delivered the improvement I could actually feel every day.
No dyno numbers yet—just honest seat-of-the-pants feedback from a modified 2.7 Wildtrak.
Sorry this video is in Arabic but i have added some points written in the video
