Fixed. I like the look. The Bronco looks likes it’s missing something without full steps. Electric option is just something else to fail. Not if. When. And I prefer a finish that compliments the other trim in a vehicle. Especially if there is a lot of exposed black trim like the Bronco has on most trim levels. Coarse textured flares, bumpers.

I'd like to have electric, as I like the advantages of being able to drop lower and not interfere with driving characteristics, but as noted above I don't trust the reliability. Combine that with the price being double what a fixed step would cost and I've went with 'fixed' on the last 15+ trucks I've owned.

Your products seem like good quality & backed with decent warranty. I'm just more of an old-school fixed running board fan.

I went fixed. As was said by others, reliability is a concern. It's not "if" they will fail, but when.

Definitely fixed. My daughter had electric on her Suburban, and those things drove her nuts. And as others have said, just something else to eventually fail.

I prefer the electric boards as they usually offer a lower step than fixed and look sleek when retracted. I haven't had any issues from my retractable boards during the 3 years I have used them . I do require them to be tough and able to take a few rock hits though.

I had electric on my 2016 Wrangler, but fixed on my 2022 Bronco.

I think it comes down to the height you desire. I found myself stepping over the electric ones (getting out), but the Bronco ones seem a bit tall to step up.

If the electrics have adjustable height... I'd probably go with that.

However... (then again) -- I know my Bronco ones look a lot cooler and provide better parking-lot protection. The electrics on the Wrangler did not provide any protection in parking lots... as they tucked themselves out of the way.

It depends on WHY you're getting them. On the Bronco...I got mind mostly for parking-lot door protection, and only on occasion use them to actually get up/down with them. The electric ones are probably better for actually getting in and out.
