2026 Braptor Oil Drain Plug Advice……. Thanks.

Did our first oil change on it a couple of weeks ago and do not care much for the quick disconnect hand plug…… but I was wondering, do you guys know if there is a aftermarket drain plug that can slow down the flow of the oil draining. It comes out crazy fast for me. I have multiple funnels and none of them can handle that fast of a drain. Thank you for your advice.

But, to drain it sanely with the factory plug, you twist it loose, then leave the plug in but tilt it a bit to let a reasonable stream of oil come out. Gotta do that for several minutes though.

If you buy some of this you can pop it on the end of the Ronin plug and guide it right into your catch can. Never spill a drop.

That’s exactly what I was thinking also. I will definitely give the clear tube a try now that I have that nipple to put the hose onto. I might use a little hose clamp on the clear hose cause I sure do not want that to pop off that nipple.

You shouldn’t need a clamp for the hose, mine is set up like that (with hose) and I just did my 4th oil change today, there isn’t enough pressure to pop it off. It makes the job so much easier and cleaner.

A few bucks less on Amazon….. thank you again everyone for this great idea. That was definitely scary pulling that out ever so slow and probably holding it for over 10 minutes to let it partially drain out nice and easy. Glad I will never have to do that again. I found this and ordered this because you guys, thank you again.!

I used to use this method with all my jet boats… Clean setup.

Another vote for Ronin as best plug option.

Nice Setup! The extraction method with Topside Oil Filter does make sense… no reason to get under for either plug or filter… and time to remove panel.

Other than time to inspect undercarriage, engine etc. May purchase an extractor and do lower oil change at times to inspect. There’s a nice electric unit… that pumps to waste container; already have multiple waste oil containers with diesel trucks.

Lived if fear of doing my 1st oil change a few years back because of all the information about the mess it would create.I did the filter 1st after warming up the motor + then removed the front skid on my WT.I use a 3 gallon bucket rather than an oil drain pan as it gets right up by the oil pan + avoids hot oil splashing.I turned the plastic plug just a little And the kept inward pressure on the plug as I removed it and did not get even a drop of oil on my garage floor.Replaced with a Ronin + some plastic drain hose + makes for the easiest oil change of any of my Fords as the others have the old style screw on type that mount horizontal + always get some oil on the floor.Love the top mount filter once my old Ass figured out how everything works.When draining with the Ronin/hose combo jack up the front driver side to get more of the old oil out + all is good.Over the years spent more time doing floor clean up than the actual oil change. "Slow + Easy Like A Frog Eating A Grindstone" Ronin is the answer just don't misplace the little extraction tool that comes with [mine is stored in a ziplock in the rear storage area].I did order a couple of the plastic drain plugs though in case the RONIN did A FUBAR!
