I have a carbon gray 22 Outer Squatch. I've been running a set of OEM sliders for a while, but I wanted a set of the RCI 20 degrees. A friend is trading in his 4D for a 2D and has a set, so I got them off of him.

When he got them, he ordered them bare instead of powdercoated. He tried to rattle can them with a clear coat, and it didn't turn out so great. They have a minor amount of surface rust on them.

I dropped them off to get blasted on Thursday to get rid of the clearcoat and the rust, and when I get them back I'm going to have them powdercoated.

One of the guys at the shop I work at said I should get them matched to the body color. I think it would look cool, but I have black Method 709s and the fender flares and trim is also black.

Has anyone had their sliders body matched? How did it turn out? Any pictures would be awesome if you could share.

Thanks!

That’s an interesting idea. It could actually work well with your carb gray. Here is AIs mock up of the sliders paint matched. Works well with your paint matched door handles.

I wouldn't color match your sliders, unless it's black. If you actually use your sliders, they are going to get scratched and need to be touched up often. So I always go with black so it's easy to touch up.

20% black is what I would use for powder coat. Then you can touch it up with Rustoleum.
