  1. Whoa, Nellie! Avg monthly payment > $700.

Yes- this. I think people confuse budget and payment way too much. Payment is simply the amount you exchange for an item if you figure in time. Budget is the cumulative amount of payments in a smaller period of time vs income.
  2. Whoa, Nellie! Avg monthly payment > $700.

Call it what you want- it’s still exchanging money for an item. If you set yourself a budget of $x dollars to save for a car- that’s a payment to yourself. I can pay cash, sure. But that cash can be used for other things such as investment. If I get a loan for less than what I can make with my...
  3. Whoa, Nellie! Avg monthly payment > $700.

I do find it a bit comical when people say things like “I’ll never pay a $x car payment. I put down $x (or paid cash).” Paying cash or a huge down payment doesn’t change the cost of the vehicle. A $60k bronco is $1000 a month without interest if you just decided to save up for one (if you saved...
  4. Jeep MY’23 order banks open NOW!

Typical for most automakers. In a normal year, you’d expect this from Ford too. However, if they opened the order banks now- the complaints would come from those already waiting. Frankly, most Jeep orders are taking at least 3 months overall. Clearly better than ford, but let’s be honest- the...
  5. Anyone know how many orders left unscheduled?

What we know is that they plan to complete the builds by November, so it is safe to say a lot are left to go. Beyond that, I’m not sure they have released figures on the exact amount that remain outstanding. Seems like that might be kept close to the best for various reasons.
  6. Customer Service Intel as of 6/27/22 on Ordering, Scheduling, Production

And I guess that’s more the logic here. You have a lot sitting built with items missing. They can’t exactly switch those to 2023s. So I’d assume wrap up will overlap a bit with new production.
  7. Customer Service Intel as of 6/27/22 on Ordering, Scheduling, Production

Things change, but I can tell you that it isn’t weird seeing 2 different years made at the same time. When I worked for a dealership years ago, we would have to check window stickers around November to see what year we got. The difference in year might be specific to an item, so they would...
  8. 3500 miles in 7 days. 'My Impressions" and Comparisons (from a 20+ Jeeps veteran)

Thank you for this write up. I currently have a 2020 JLUR and that will find a new home once the Bronco is official. I don’t see a need to keep 2 cars for myself (the wife has hers) and I’ve owned around 40 other vehicles in my lifetime. I don’t have regrets about changing - there will always be...
  9. In a bit of a conundrum.

I got ya. I just was relaying that he was debating 2 models with the same engine anyway. The risk remains equal.
  10. In a bit of a conundrum.

But they both have 2.7…. Sooooooo….
  11. Order on 01/08/22 - pushed to a 2023 model

They are going to be building until late in the year, so I wouldn’t do much more than flip a coin.
  12. ‘23 MY predictions/ what we know

You aren’t wrong. I looked at the 4Runner for years and would have bit had they redesigned for the 2023 model. If my potential bronco order Overlaps the release of that update- I’d order in a heartbeat. I loved my Taco and FJ. My 2020 Ruby can hold out 12 months just like it can 18. And since...
  13. Stats show no losers between Bronco and Jeep so far. Just expanded offroad SUV segment 👍

That was my take. You can order a wrangler and get it in less than 3 months. You can typically find a wrangler or two on a lot. That means that people will move to the easier options as long as they are similar. I don’t think this data takes into account the complete lack of availability for the...
  14. 2022 Bronco Raptor Reviews Are HERE!! (Full List) 🦖

That’s the crappy part. Conspiracy Me says that Ford is wondering how many people will drop so that they don’t have to keep pushing out older orders. But I’m sure there is a balance in older parts contracts too. Ive never seen such a weird rollout for a vehicle. You’re right- you almost seem...
  15. 2022 Bronco Raptor Reviews Are HERE!! (Full List) 🦖

Right, I guess I should say “newer” meaning- the newest possible things go on the most expensive new thing first. Then people want that newer thing on their current thing and come back when it’s available on other trims down the road. Keeps the buying cycle going. The Raptor just came out so it...
  16. Merry Christmas (Hallmark 2022 Ornament)

I hear they are having issues with the 2.7 models burning up Christmas trees, so Santa is investigating.
  17. 2022 Bronco Raptor Reviews Are HERE!! (Full List) 🦖

I think like any automaker- they will find ways to try new things on upgraded models and then hand them down as standard later on. I know my Jeeps were like that, same with the wife’s Rav4s. You basically R&D half as much and the lower models get all hyped when it becomes available. Plus people...
  18. Merry Christmas (Hallmark 2022 Ornament)

I’m curious why they are releasing it in October of 22 and they have it marked as a ‘21. It’s an ornament, so most people would want to match it up with the year you are celebrating.
  19. 2022 Bronco Raptor Reviews Are HERE!! (Full List) 🦖

I’m glad you said it, because I didn’t want to have a ton of wrath with this sentiment. I can price out a fully loaded wildtrak with HOSS3 and it’s $20k less. Not sure the difference in price matches up. However, I’m not stupid and realize it’s not about the bits- it’s the whole. I won’t call...
