Do it. A lot of the attendees- including me - are novices. You will have a great time, meet new people and fall in love with Bronco even more. Itās a win-win-win scenario
This piece is big enough to make two grills - just in case you mess up the first one. Not that I would know about that.

Here is my finished project. I took a piece of speaker grill and fabed up a DYI OEM grill. It came out good enough. My mounting board for the amp was too big and I had to cut it down to get the side panel back on. Glad the project is over and very happy with the results.
BTW - the 500.1...
Like @Sherminiator I am about 90% done. I just have to fab up a speaker grill and put the side panel back on. I have 4dr BL with the base stereo. I am not going to repeat all the excellent advice and instructions that has already been given in this thread, but I thought I would pass on a few...
What is your reasoning for using 12AWG for the subwoofer wiring? Are you trying to prevent signal degradation since it is a long run? Is it pretty standard to use 12 AWG for subs? I am assuming that you used 12 AWG from the 200.4 amp to the 500.1 amp and then from the 500.1 amp to the woofer...
@cmcbronco - I am wiring my 500.1 to the 200.4 and have a couple of questions. Sorry if they are elementary. š¤
1. I know you tapped into the speakers before the 200.4. Just to clarify - that would be the small harness without the power and remote (blue) wire, correct?
2. Did you tap into the...
I think I can confirm that Amp 1 runs the front speakers and Amp 2 runs the rear speakers. If you change the gain control on Amp 1 it will only adjust the front speakers while the gain control on Amp 2 will adjust the rear speakers.
I went through the set up process again to try to fix the excessively loud ātoneā problem but no luck. The increased volume definitely comes from increasing the Amp 1 gain control. I ended up just decreasing the gain control on both amp 1 & 2 to a level where the tone volume was not obnoxiously...
The gain setting was turned all the way counterclockwise (which is what I guess is zero) when it was at the 10-4 position. I thought I would redo the entire process tomorrow and see if that changes anything. Everything was flattened out but I donāt think I had turned off the speed compensated...
