  1. Will changing a 2023 order to 2.3/7 v. 2.7/10, all other things being the same, affect my price protection?

Changing engine/transmission does not impact price protection on Badlands.
  2. Maybe don’t buy a Bronco.

If the Tacos weren't so uncomfortable I'd be more inclined to get one... but feels like you have to be under 5'8" to fit comfortably in one. Shame because I generally like the Tacoma, I just can't sit in it for more than an hour. Once the next generation Ranger arrives I plan on taking a look...
  3. ARB Dual Air Compressor Mounting Kit Options - Which One Should I Get?

ARB has their own mounting option that they are (supposedly) working on. So I've been stalling until I see what that looks like. Based on the pre-release photos it looks similar to JCR/KR bracket, but we'll see. Assuming the ARB mount is subpar—or I get tired of waiting—I personally will be...
  4. Do you mostly drive in 2H or 4H?

2-High. 4-Low / 4-High is for off-road and low-traction scenarios only. You can also use 4-Auto (if you got the Advanced transfer case), but it is rarely necessary and does put some additional strain on the drivetrain when the computer guesses wrong. When it doubt, use the GOAT modes.
  5. Capable bumper license plate bracket - NO DRILLING required

I’m sure @HBTFD got you sorted out, but I too ran into the same issue. It looks like Ford changed the size of that lip (again). I made it work by using some "light persuasion"—aka: I bent the metal until it fit. Images below. Obviously the next problem is the Torx bits are rusting out—only...
  6. Price Protection with AXZD Plan

Ford limits the use of X-plan on production limited vehicles and vehicles in high demand. The demand for Bronco is dramatically higher than the supply—Ford is still trying to fulfill orders made back in January 2021. And we don’t know when you’ll be able to place a new order for a 2023 Bronco...
  7. Price protection on pushed Raptors.

Ford hasn't announced what price protection will look like exactly for 2023MY. They said there will be price protection, but neither we nor the dealers have gotten details yet. And devil is always in the details with this sorta stuff.
  8. FordPass in Europe

I'll defer to @flip on this one, as the information I have is back from before FordPass was available in Europe. But if you want any shot at getting it to work, you'll need to log into your FordPass account, and add the VIN to your account. Then you need someone in the vehicle in Canada to...
  9. Illinois WTB Badlands Wheel & Tires Take-Offs

If you end up not being able to find one... BFGoodrich KO2 275/70R18 would be the size to get. Should fit on your Outer Banks wheels. Won't be exactly the same, but very similar.
  10. Biggest tires for stock Big Bend wheels?

The limitation will be the width of the stock rims—which are 7.5". You'd have to check the tire specs to make sure it fits—it'll vary slightly depending on the sidewall construction and the manufacturer. But you should be able to fit 35x10.5R17 tires on the stock rims.
  11. The Ultimate 2022MY PRICE PROTECTION Flowchart

None of the price protections were retroactive. Maybe you didn't read about them until months later, but all of the price protections were announced shortly before or immediately after their cutoff dates. The early reservation price protection, for example, Ford announced price protection for...
  12. Bronco orders opening up to everyone in Q4?!

To be fair the search function on this particular forum is absolutely horrific. I was searching for the words "Price Protection" and the very first result that popped up was a thread talking asking people if they were switching to Heritage or not. 🤷‍♂️ That entirely depends on what you order...
  13. 2023MY Bronco Dealer Playbook released for reservation conversion, carry-over orders, COVP, price protection, Heritage Edition, allocations, dates

That's because it's not something we as customers should need to worry about. It's an extra step dealers have to do, but as long as the dealers are actually know what they're doing, we shouldn't have to worry about it. It's kind of like the price protection system—we as customers shouldn't have...
  14. Bronco orders opening up to everyone in Q4?!

@BlueBronco is kind of correct (and obviously super jaded by the whole process). But the actual answer is they need to take orders in advance—even if they cannot build all of those orders—so they know which components they need to order from their suppliers. It's a brand new vehicle so they...
  15. Types of Ford Key Fob?

The Bronco does not have a 5-button key fob. In most Ford vehicles that 5th button is for a powered lift gate / tail gate, or the trunk. Obviously the Bronco does not have either of those, so no fifth button. The manual transmission comes with a 3-button key fob. The automatic transmission...
  16. The Ultimate 2022MY PRICE PROTECTION Flowchart

Yeah it's a good idea, I don't know how far the press will take it though. It's already been reported a few times (for multiple manufactures, not just Ford) and Ford's answer is going to be a generic "dealers are independent businesses and Ford cannot dictate final pricing," which is...
  17. Sync 5 for 2024 Model Year? (MY)

I doubt it. They're going to want to make a big splash with Sync 5 (or whatever they'll call it), and the perfect time to do it would have been yesterday with the Mustang. But... the Mustang ended up having Sync 4, so obviously Sync 5 it's not quite ready for prime time yet. It's probably...
  18. When can I order a 2023?

Date hasn't been announced yet for new orders. Tentatively Q4 2022 or Q1 2023. If you want a Base or Big Bend, talk to a dealer next week about submitting a stock order with your desired configuration. Stock orders won't be attached to your name and you won't receive any price protection...
  19. 2023MY Bronco Dealer Playbook released for reservation conversion, carry-over orders, COVP, price protection, Heritage Edition, allocations, dates

I had this question too. Don’t have answers yet. I’m assuming it’ll go one of two ways…. A) Presumably you will be able to order them now, you just have no chance at getting a built Bronco until (probably) summer 2023. (Order banks aren’t open at the moment, so no way to verify if you even can...
  20. 2023MY Bronco Dealer Playbook released for reservation conversion, carry-over orders, COVP, price protection, Heritage Edition, allocations, dates

If you have not yet converted the reservation, just sit on it and it’ll automatically cancel after Nov 21st. If you already converted the reservation, then it’s in the dealer’s hands. I assume you’ve already talked to your dealer and let them know you have no intention on buying from them. But...
