Yeah, I always thought those tailgate reinforcers were a gimmick... turns out they have a purpose. Not sure they would have helped here though, since it looks like he bottomed-out onto his spare, so it was the weight of the whole back of the Bronco on it.

I don't know, man. Maybe you left for vacation and abandoned this thread, but you don't seem to want to answer how much you planned to put down. Having less than $4K (which you've implied) and trying to purchase a $66K vehicle (before dealer and registration fees, taxes, warranty, etc.)...
