When I took delivery of mine, one was handed to me directly which I expected as they need a loose one to remove it from the carrier, and the other was shrinkwapped with all the papers that come with it (Manual, warranty forms, etc.). Did you get those papers/warranty forms?

I use those Bingfu mounts. Have two : one for CB and one for HAM. They work great. And to answer the question about paint: There is a bit of foam under one side, and an aluminum bar that goes between the screws and surface on the other. I just cover it with felt that way I have no scratches on...

When I had my Wrangler, I had the Bestop Supertop for it and loved the ability to open and close the top above the front row seats with ease and used the ever-loving mess out of it once it started getting above 65 degrees outside. Like others, I would have preferred a sunrider for both rows...
