But it never was a 2020 bronco EVER. When the UAW contract was release they stated “Production to start in 2020” which to me always meant 2021MY. But odds are that’s going to become early 2021 production. Either way just means a late 2021 model.
Dodge back in the late 80s early 90s had a HUGE hardon for making everything a convertible. They weren’t from the factory. They were licensed 3rd party aftermarket. American Sunroof company. They did that with a lot of cars. Dodge Omni. Even a mclaren mustang??? Dodge Durango. The EXP. even...
the prototypes have been seen with bigger tires than the Rubicon and buttons that appear to be lockers. couple that with the 2.7 that’s already a badass truck. On par (or better) than a rubicon. The question then is, what is the Raptor then? More hardcore? Hardcore hybrid?
“Raptor” makes a lot of sense coming later. Almost every single high end ford product comes a year or two after the initial launch. Last two f150 raptors have been about 18 months after initial delivery.
the question then becomes, what will that engine be. If the “ FX4” is the 2.7.
the 3.5 WOULD fit if it was just N/A but 3.5TT hybrid. No chance. Turbos add a lot. then a hybrid? For get it.
Yes the Lincoln has the 3.0TT hybrid.
if the bronco gets a hybrid l, odds are it will be the 3.3 n/a hybrid from the explorer. 320hp/320lbft. Perfect slight upgrade over the 2.3.
Dead post I know. ....
But Q1 sales have come out.
2019 Q1 gladiator >1000, Wrangler 50,000
2020 Q 1. gladiator 15,000. Wrangler 40,000
sounds like the gladiator is just stealing Sales from the wrangler
The 33 Duratec replaced the 35 (nearly identical numbers for the old 35 explorer vs new 33 f150) They stopped making the N/A 35 at the end of 2018. But yes the 35EB is a 35 Duratec turbo. which is why I believe this is a high end trim 420hp+ ~475lbft+ monster
the YUGE problem with the TRX is that it’s going to weigh nearly 6000lbs with all the weight over the front axel. vs the lighter raptor 5400lbs. The acceleration difference will be marginal
also the last 2 Raptors were not a year 1 launch. They were a year after so who knows. Maybe the 5.2sc...
I can’t believe ford would make a new 3.5 just for a hybrid. If it’s N/A they would have just used the 3.3
so it has to be the Turbo. Meaning it’s going to have 400+ hp and only available at top end trims.
WAAAIT!!!! Along with that.
Newer cars are going to FOAM board around the front wheel wells AND under the motor. AND IT SUUUUUCKS traps nasty oily salt water. I have to spray out my wheel wells on the Chevy WEEKLY and it’s BROWN water. That can’t be good on the part touching metal. Still...
I am ok with it for now. I was never going to buy new. My plan is November 2023 to buy a 2 year old leased vehicle. Should be able to get a mid level for ~$25k with a warranty!
but just sucks that the reveal has been pushed. I want to see it. Hear it. Compare it.
i imagine there may be a stimulus for all the auto markers when this is done.
all the stocks shares before and after CV most are down close to 50%
Ford From 10.00 to 5.00
Tesla 900 to 500
GM 35 to 22
FC 15 to 7
VWG 180 to 120
Toyota 140 to 120
True but to any void the warranty because your messing with the ECU and does it pop a light?
I guess I don’t mind because I turn off traction control in my merc every time I get in the car (because 90s traction control SUUUUCK)
problem with manual today is all of the electronics under the hood. Trying to rev match for you. Closing the throttle late etc. example, the Genesis coupe turbo is HORRIBLE to drive as a manual because you can’t get the timing right now matter how hard you try. I admit when a manual is...
