It should just be M8 cap bolts. They go into the wider end of the slot and then slide down with threads up for any custom mounting!

Yeah then you should be fine! Getting the nuts on rear cover back on can be kind of a pain in the butt, but my gf was able to reach in since her hands are smaller.

What tent are you buying? I need to film a YouTube video and was thinking of filming my "1 Year of Ownership" type of video so I can showcase the tent and how it's mounted for you (also how to remove the roof panels)

I wonder if that's what I have. It's random and intermittent (not all bumps make it happen). It legit sounds like a loud "CRACK"

It's pretty noisy but in my thread, I've got the mods on there and it's made it much much quieter. Back to the normal road noise of our broncos!

Yep the front 3 panels all come off. The middle one comes off just the same as the front two. You unlatch it and lift slights and pull out between the roll bar and roof rack. Super easy - no real trick to it.

Yeah I'll actually make a walkaround video here soon about the tent/rack and how the bronco is sitting currently.

Fixed it! Pretty easy. I'd say my technique was wrong. When you install it - push up into the fairing as well as into it. So sort of pushing back toward the rear of the car and up into the groove diagonally. That's what really helped me get it to lay flat. I knew it could look way cleaner...

I appreciate it! Another option would be to PPF that section too. Wouldn't be expensive at all and I'm sure you could DIY it.

I've taken the middle panel off many times. If you look at my post when I first got my roof top tent I had the front 3 panels off.
