  1. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

I hate car payments because it is a depreciating asset so I try to make decisions for long term usage. I was thinking of a Toyo 4Runner instead of the Bronco but decided to give the Ford a run and buying the long term warranty was how I justified the reliability concerns. We will see if it...
  2. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

My thought on this has more to do with reliability “in general” and not a specific part. “Systems” (and a car is a system no different than a refrigerator or TV set), generally have a “bath tub” curve for failures. Lots of issues at the start, a long period of reliability with few issues and...
  3. KO3 vs KO2 Tires Comparison Look and Technical Analysis

I am new to off-roading. I do not go rock crawling but have been off-road in the snow the KO2s and they were great (but have nothing to compare to). At home on pavement, they are quiet and have decent grip. Traction in very wet road conditions is not great, but I've driven in other SUVs and the...
  4. Considering buying new 2024 Bronco, thoughts on quality issues and problems?

So I take it that you didn't buy the Bronco? I did not see a post from you after this one, so I am guessing that you didn't reach an agreement with the dealer?
  5. Gun / Firearm Racks & Storage [*** Storage Talk Only *** No Glorification, States, Laws, Permits, Politics or Usage Discussions]

So I have a hardtop and use a cable lock connected to a V-Line handgun safe. I stash it under my drivers seat. But it can "slip out" from under my seat from time to time. If you have the top open and/or the doors off, this probably won't work for you...
  6. Debating on 2.3 vs 2.7 engine?

I have the 2.3L because I wanted the manual and that was the only engine choice. I have towed boats at altitude (5000 feet in Ennis, MT) and have not had issues with "not enough" power. I do have to downshift from 6th gear to 5th or even 4th when going up steeper highway grades but can keep...
  7. Anyone seen window problem where it does not drop when opening door?

They have to have some sort of window drop because of the frameless doors and the need for a rubber "lip" on the top of the door to keep the wind and rain out at speed.
  8. Anyone seen window problem where it does not drop when opening door?

So my issue persisted across restarts, but I finally found the solution and that was to manually re-index the window as described earlier in this thread. It has happened twice in the last month or so and the manual re-indexing solved the problem immediately. Just another one of those things...
  9. ERUPTION GREEN Bronco Club

Has anyone been able to take a pic of an Eruption Green Bronco next to a new Shelter Green one? I am curious to see the difference.
  10. Shelter Green 2024 Bronco Raptor in garage.

I need to see a shelter green next to my eruption green. They don't look that different to me...
  11. Latest 2024 Bronco Production Key Commodity Constraints + Total Retail Unscheduled Orders (3/18/24)

I thought the manual 7sp was gone for 2024, but it shows up in the table...
  12. Water/condensation in rear taillight

This is good to know. I have many droplets in my rear lights after a rainstorm. I will take this in when we get the next big deluge and the droplets show up again.
  13. 2021-2024 Bronco RV & Trailer Towing (GVWR / GCWR) Guide From Ford

I’m an idjit. Thank you for pointing that out. I didn’t scroll down…
  14. 2021-2024 Bronco RV & Trailer Towing (GVWR / GCWR) Guide From Ford

That still shouldn’t result in no towing capacity… I tow stuff with my 7MT all the time.
  15. 2021-2024 Bronco RV & Trailer Towing (GVWR / GCWR) Guide From Ford

So the 2024 Badlands with the 2.3L motor can’t tow anything in either 2dr or 4dr config? WTF?
  16. Ford should learn from Tesla about multiple reservation holders (person blacklisted)

thanks for your post! If a legacy automaker can do this, Ford can do this. and shut down the repeat flippers.
  17. Ford should learn from Tesla about multiple reservation holders (person blacklisted)

I agree with your first point. Once someone buys a car without any special agreements in place, the buyer can sell it the next day if they want for whatever they can sell it for and Forcan’t stop it. But I don’t believe your second point is true. Unless you are a protected class, no business...
  18. Ford should learn from Tesla about multiple reservation holders (person blacklisted)

that is a fair point. But there is a warranty that should be to an identifiable individual. Ford corporate finds me for a recall notice. But still another layer to traverse that Tesla does not have to deal with.
  19. Ford should learn from Tesla about multiple reservation holders (person blacklisted)

I agree, You can sell whatever you want. I just like that automakers (in this case Tesla) is using their data to limit that to one time. Then you’re out!
