  1. What Would YOU Do?

I purchased a base Sas. Added rack, full skid plates, rock rails. Works perfectly fine for driving around the ranch and backcountry roads (what tourists call “trails”) in SW CO.
  2. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Just another shitty day in the neighborhood.
  3. 🐾 Show Us Your Dog + Bronco Photos!

No Bronco within miles of this. Another dog walk in the neighborhood.
  4. Getting ready to take the plunge - am I getting this right?

We live and have lived in some of the snowiest environments on record (0ne location recorded a then world record of 1,192" - or about 12X what most NE locations see). The Bronco is OK in the snow. Probably much better with dedicated snow tires. In any case my Bronco stays put in the winter. It...
  5. Getting ready to take the plunge - am I getting this right?

If your off roading is limited, and you value creature comforts the Bronco is the last vehicle I’d choose. We just drove from Durango to Beaver Creek. I took the Bronco due to a bit of off roading on one day. The high speed travel was just miserable. Ford does offer higher trims. However they...

  7. Let's see your roof-top Tents and camping setups!

Im also considering a trailer. Tell me more about pros and cons? Where we live or is shelf roads with tight hairpin turns. It feels like a trailer would line. Ideally I will rent one first. Feel free to DM.
  8. tailgate reinforcement weight limits?

Not necessarily. Having sat on a few ASTM committees to determine testing protocols for outdoor equipment the forklift test tells you nothing. I'd like to see if ASTM has a standard for testing this. It would likley include a dynamic testing component, and would likely measure downward dynamic...
  9. In LOVE with the Bronco! Want to leave car...

This. Add the GTI to the list. AWESOME traction control. With snows, it was my winter driver commuting to work on a mtn that has seen as much as 1,192” of snow in one year.
  10. Roof rack affecting Sirius/XM signal?

With a Trailrax, yes. However the interference is minimal. Start stacking thing up there and the inference is profound. No radio reception by us, so it is all XM or iPhone.
  11. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Another shitty day on the ranch. No pavement / garage for this Bronco.
  12. Recovery Boards -- any situation you've needed more than a pair?

Has anyone been in a situation were they saw a need for more than a pair? Thanks in advance.
  13. Which do I pick?

Reminds me of the saying, "Clothes make the man - but only if there is not much of a man there to begin with."
  14. Which do I pick?

That makes total sense... After you can afford to write a check for whatever house, vehicle, vacation or plane you desire.
  15. Which do I pick?

This. Invest that money wisely. You could double it in a few years. You purchase new, trendy vehicles when you can afford to write a check and never notice that the money is gone.
  16. Is PPF Wrap Worth it?

I had selected areas done. If I did not have full rock rails I'd also have the bottom half of the doors covered. I've had several high-end sports cars ceramic coated. Not worth it IMO.
  17. (fun list!) Bronco accessories to be avoided! (keep it friendly)

Does ity make the cargo space under the floor inaccessible?
  18. (fun list!) Bronco accessories to be avoided! (keep it friendly)

As a fly fishing guide I love mine for rigging. You are correct though - I'd never cook in my vehicle. That is just stupid.
