  2. 74Weld Bronco Portals

You can re-gear if you want but the owner of 74 didn’t and said he does mind it with the 38’s
  3. Portals and Pro-X update

No mine never came with it, and I’ve never taken the time to figure out what their logic was when determining which one got them and which ones didn’t
  4. Portals and Pro-X update

I don’t have it handy. Pretty sure I snagged them off Amazon because I was in a hurry lol
  5. Portals and Pro-X update

I used some Dorman studs but didn’t increase the stud size. I believe there will be a change to portals soon and that will move them to a 14mm stud, but not sure.
  6. Portals and Pro-X update

RockJock supposedly has one on the way to market and when it’s ready, I’ll try it out. It honestly has never been an issue on flat paved roads, only the uneven paved roads in Baja.
  7. Portals and Pro-X update

    It is painted!
  8. Portals and Pro-X update

    You’re dead on.
  9. Portals and Pro-X update

    Yep, take offs.
  10. Portals and Pro-X update

Take offs from a ‘23 Wildtrak we built. So for all intents and purposes wildtrak suspension and portals. I believe this is the recipe for a great ride with the portals without creating any lift.
  11. Portals and Pro-X update

Its been a minute since I've posted anything regarding our Bronco build, and in light of recent events I feel now is an appropriate time for an update. Right before Christmas we received the first set of portals from 74Weld and got right on the install. We did things a little different than...

  15. Update: Supercharged V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

Yes, using the G238. Let me know when you’re ready!
  16. Update: Supercharged V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

Yep Only way we will do it is if the entire dash work like it does now.
  17. Update: Supercharged V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

Don’t think we aren’t working on it. Unlike others that have tried installing the drivetrain and then making it work, we’ve been carefully looking at the electronic side. Maybe it’ll happen, maybe it won’t. The thing I’m worried about the most is that there isn’t actually a market for it. It’s...
  18. Join Us For a Live Discussion: IFS vs. Solid Axle Swap

Imagine going full send and the leverage against the factory knuckle upon landing.
  19. 74Weld Bronco Portals

Nope. Extended brake lines and as mentioned before, I’d re-gear to keep the rpms more suitable for daily driving. You don’t have to re-gear but I would.
  20. 74Weld Bronco Portals

Kinda true. If you re-gear the Bronco to 4.10 ratio in the diffs it’ll calculate to 5.0 as your final drive ratio with the portal. Perfect for 38-40” tires with the 10 speed imho.
