Zero issues with my 2022. The only time it was in the shop was when someone hit me and took it out of action for a few months. Otherwise just normal maintenance.
I brought it up to the opposing insurance company early on, but they deferred and said we don't want to discuss until we get your Bronco fixed. So several months pass, and I bring it up again. They give a response that is low (around $3k), I counter with $6 -7k, and they reject it and say they...
Diminished value has to do with your vehicle now being worth less than it was before it was damaged. Even if it repaired to like new, the record of having been in an accident will impact the value of the vehicle.
Mine was hit by someone similar to the OP but did more damage. Their insure...
Nice bullet points. I thought I saw a video with image highlighting the Harvester power pack low and in the back. I can see a tightly packaged engine the size you mention fitting the bill.
The miles per kWhr figure you mention are eye opening. My wife's Ioniq 5 runs around 4 miles per kWhr...
Not likely totaled. Mine was worse and they fixed it. If the other person is at fault, make sure you go for diminished value. I used a 3rd party to assist and ultimately got a decent check for my Bronco being worth less now.
That first thought was the same for us, and we ultimately got my wife a crossover EV. So far 9000 miles of city driving and she loves it. I told her it was going to be our in town workhorse. The Bronco has turned into our long distance rig if we aren't in our RV.
And agreed the interiors...
I like it. We'll see if the styling details hold in the production model. Might consider jumping in for the reservation.
But I doubt I move on from the Bronco. Took too long for this one to come back around. I've been around them since 1975, so it's kind of in the blood by now.
What is the base color of it? Are the white and the orange/red both painted on or is one a wrap?
I think the black should have been limited to the raised area of the hood similar to what some other vehicles have done over the years. It might not be historically accurate, but it should would...
The 2 door tows pretty well. Control your speed, give a decent stopping distance allowance, and you'll do great.
The only thing that towed weird was when I flat towed my Mini Cooper. The forces from the Mini wanted to push the back end of the Bronco around. Going above 55 mph was sketchy...
For 2 doors, I think the only error is dropping it from the Heritage. Otherwise, it makes business sense to reduce the trim levels where 2 doors are offered to reduce costs given the take rate. It will just consolidate 2 door buyers into those fewer trims because those that want a 2 door will...
For those with the 2.3L mushy brakes, just apply a little pressure, lift then reapply. Brakes firm up well. That is a crappy workaround but it does make a difference in brake feel.
Same happens in my E450 based RV...I think it uses a vacuum booster as well but can't confirm. Same brake feel...
Get a professional involved to help with the diminished value aspect of things. Depending on the state you are in, the rules on how it is handled will be different so everyone commenting here is just an opinion.
We used someone remote from my state but I will say that they helped quite a bit...
There is a Jeep CJ7 I owned for 13 years and still has the clutch I put in it in 1987. Just depends on how you drive it and some on the vehicle itself. Helps having a low end torque engine and a 3 speed (fewer shifts).
The 2 door tows fine. The heavier the trailer the more it does push on the back, and given the short wheelbase, you need to adjust accordingly. The key is controlling your speed. Heavier the trailer the slower your top speed.
As an example, I flat towed my Mini Cooper from our storage unit...
You need to drive both and see what you like. I have the 2.3L two door OBX with Squatch. It is plenty for me as a daily as well as our road trip vehicle. Good power and easily handles interstate travel. I've also pulled a few trailers with no issues. Drive and get what you want. After...
Own a Shadow Black OBX. The nice part is the OBX black grille matches the Bronco.
Would I do it again, probably not. I don't wash my vehicle often enough and black shows dirt like folks know. Does the paint hold up? Yes. It is a modern paint. If you are running off road with brush...
