Very cool! Can't wait to see more on this challenge/journey!
I love your comment about mounting things on the spare! So true...especially when the chances of a blowout are high. I just bought a Stinky Fab Reverse light bracket kit for that very reason. It mounts in the back of the spare...
There is an L bracket (link I posted)...DD's more universal design. If all it takes is to drill into the cable bumper, that's easy and I'm in. Seriously can't believe nobody has a specific mounting bracket for the capable bumper yet.
Can the end pieces be swapped out for a Capable Bumper version? Why doesn't anyone make a mount specific to the capable bumper? There's 5 mil options for the mod bumper and I'm trying really hard to recall ANY for the capable bumper. Nacho Offroad had a $350 option (they were VERY proud of...
Definitely mini style...maybe a little lower profile than what you have in your drawings. Hopefully there will be enough space to mount (4) 6" individual lights.
Yah...I would rather go aftermarket than modular. And I've struggled with buying lesser quality lights (obviously) over cost. BD sets the standard and I think I'm going to save my pennies up vs going with a lesser option. Just need a stylish/clean looking bull bar for the Capable bumper to...
Nice work. Nothing like sweating bullets every time you go "iN" somewhere with $16K in bikes sitting on the back of your rig! All the cable locks in the world don't give me a whole lot of solis from a motivated thief. Just don't let those bars hit that side window. How did you bolt to the...
Any idea when this Capable Bumper option might hit the market? I'm looking for something similar to the mini style bull bar (lower profile) that I can mount (4) 5" lights on. Quite literally everything out there is for the Mod Bumper. I'm considering hacking up a Mod Bumper version off Amazon...
Great idea and cool design! Any chance you'll make these for the Novsight Halo style lights. I haven't seen them on too many rigs (which might be a deterrent for you), but seriously thinking about buying them for mine. Halo Series (novsights.com) The cover is the same as the Amber cover, except...
Absolutely excellent video. Appreciate you sharing your experience and perspective. Well done. Next time I"m in the Lodi area, I need to stop by your shop. Cheers.
Thanks. Appreciate the honesty. It's a great invention and a great location w/ all kinds of ground clearance. I'm not worried about my analog bikes, but mainly concerned that if I roll out w/ (2) 50# eMTBs, the extra 100# might be too much for that whole spare tire mount. The whole thing may...
Do you have any insight on how much weight that set up will take and whether it will take some light offroading too? Definitely going to need to brace the door. I need to haul two bikes...#50 YT Decoy and #35 YT Capra. I LOVE the clearance this offers, but I'm gonna hate lifting that pig...
Nice looking rig! Couple questions. Did you see a big increase in performance using the Pedal Cammander? Also, how is sport mode on the 23' badlands? I've been thinking about doing this mod with Forescan too.
