The top can be changed later. The engine, not so much. If the V6 and painted top are of equal importance to you, get a V6 Bronco. I had my MIC top painted and have been extremely happy with my decision to build a Heritage clone to my spec.

Truth. I had an FBO 2007 335i (bought new and modded) way back when and some guy with a clapped out E36 M3 said "Couldn't afford an M huh?". :ROFLMAO: I put a CSL decklid on it and made sure to put the accurate "335i" on it.

If that happens with mine, hopefully the aftermarket will have caught up with more cool options 🙃 Until then, I'm not worried.

I had my MIC top painted two months after I bought it so it's been about a year I think. Prep and paint was $3k all in (including new gaskets, etc.). Took about a week which was fine because it was fun running without the roof. I don't currently have a roof hoist/jack so it hasn't been off...

Easy to install with no issues since. I could have trimmed them slightly, but for the money I got the look I wanted. Understated when the bar is white (see pic below) and bright for turn signals.
