I thought I noticed the same. I can't say it was night and day but somewhat different. We don't drive ours that much - So I just chocked it up to having not driven our Bronco in a while. Interesting others notice similar.
1/2" body lift isn't required, I just used it for a low buck way to make the spare fit.... And get some height. Did you see the pic of the front bumper? It's really not bad at all.
Here is what I did to make the 37s fit:
Start with a Sasquatch Bronco
Add the following:
BroncBuster 1.5" perch collars
1/2" Body Lift (tires fit fine without this)
JKS Max Tire Clearance Kit
37" Cooper STT Pros
That's it!
Very good actually. Except it only made more power until about 3,700 rpm. It's was somewhat significant (+20hp and +32lb ft at 3,000rpm). This is even more impressive when a 30 degree jump in ambient temperature is accounted for. After 3,700 RPM the computer stepped in and limited power. The...
I feel the shop I chose is reputable. They told us they were "taking a lot of weight," and instead use balance beads. Problem is at 25 mph the steering wheel will actually wiggle a bit. It balances a bit at higher speeds but still shakes pretty good. Still get a Different shop?
Got a question for you: How is the balance on your tires? The tire shop had a "hard time" balancing ours and said they got it was good as they could. My knee jerk response to the shaking is to take it back, especially since it was so expensive. This is my first vehicle with tires this large, so...
No spacers currently*, JKS Kit, BroncBuster 1.5" Perch Collar Lift, 1/2" Body lift. I have not run it through the articulation yet, but My money is on no rubbing as there is a LOT of room in there now.
*I will likely be adding minimal wheel spacers, as the 37' JUST BARELY rub the stock UCA at...
Hello All! I thought I would share an interesting use for a 1/2" body lift. I purchased a 1/2" body lift from a guy on Etsy last week and installed it right away. It was a super easy install, and after some front bumper realignment the gap is acceptable to me. The rear in my opinion is going to...
I also have teamed up with CVF on the charge pipes. I have them installed and ready for a Dyno comparison tomorrow night. They are installed on a stock tuned 2.7 with CVF's Turbo Back Exhaust, and intercooler. I'm not expecting much, maybe 5hp based on my super accurate butt Dyno. :) I will be...
Hello All,
The time is drawing near to replace my factory SAS tires with some Cooper STT Pros. My biggest complaint about the factory tires is their ability to throw rocks like no other tire I have ever owned. Seriously, its absurd. I have decided to replace them with a set of Cooper STT Pros...
Interesting. Would that have resulted in more realistic overall numbers? After the first pull in seventh gear hit the speed limiter, we just picked another gear that wouldn’t hit the speed limit. We weren’t after the overall number so so much as the disparity between the parts added if that...
Hello everyone, a while back I reached out to CV Fabrication to ask what their Dyno numbers were on their intercooler and exhaust systems. At that point they hadn't gotten any, but would be interested in getting them. So I decided to take the plunge and find out. CV Fabrication instisted I keep...
