    I had the tick and had the tailgate replaced. It took 2.5 months and three tries at painting the thing but the tick is gone (there are still paint issues but I’m tired). Only thing I am still waiting on is a new ford emblem and a brake light. They broke both during the 2nd attempt at paint.

  6. Dealership gaslighting me about tailgate rattle (and excessive wind noise)

    I got a call from a service manager this morning that indicated Ford had just issued a service bulletin on the tailgate rattle. They then said they were in the process of ordering me a new tailgate. I have not been able to find the service bulletin however.

    It looks like to remove the rear portion of the hard top I could leave the mounts attached to the windshield and rear hardtop and instead just detach the superstructure from the mounts themselves. Is that accurate?
