Hey Chris,
It does add weight, but not enough for me to notice a change in driving characteristics. Also I always use two people to take the rear clamshell off just because it's so large and awkward for the 2dr.
However that Dynamat superlite stuff looks great though, and since it's thinner...
It makes me super happy to see a good American business growing and thriving, and even happier to be a small part of that growth as a return customer. The fit and finish of your products are what make me come back to you.
Also, patiently awaiting your future shift knob offerings.
While I think the Mach-E branding is lame, if you want an actual Ford Mustang, you can still get a new one. The same cannot be said about the true Blazer.
Off-roading means a lot of things, to a lot of people. Rock-crawling, mudding, overlanding, field work, desert racing, etc....all different applications that require different skill sets and tools. It all boils down to "what do you want it to do?" - then you can go from there.
With that...
I installed both dynamat (butyl rubber) and dynaliner (foam) on my hard top, the doors, and the cargo area in the back.
Hard-top: Doing this area made the biggest difference by far. 10/10 would do again. I won't ever order the overpriced felt carpet you get from the factory.
Doors: You don't...
We live in unprecedented times with turbulent product launches, resource & supply restrictions, not to mention an incoming paradigm shift into electric vehicles which is highly dependent on polarized & fickle politics...
TL;DR - I don't know how anyone can accurately predict this stuff.
I just had mine done today for my MT 2.3L.
Initially, I was worried I wouldn't feel much, if any difference - at least until I got Dyno readouts. But it's definitely noticeable, especially in the low-end torque range. 1st finally feels like it should - a lot more responsive and peppier...
I rode in my 2 door's backseat a few times last summer, I'm having a hard time trying to empathize with the complaints.
Was there a relative unevenness to the temp? Yes. Just like sitting 2 feet in front of an AC feels different than sitting 4 feet away from an AC.
Was it the Sahara Desert...
@joeramirez It isn't Texas weather up here in the northeast, but we've certainly had a fair share of 90+ hot & humid days this summer. I'm happy to report no drooping. It works great, and now that I've had the experience of riding with someone with their factory headliner, my DIY option works...
I have the AFE Vulcan cat-back, and love it.
I just wanted more flow from quality build/materials - I'm not into an aggressive or obnoxious sound, at least from the 2.3L. The Motoroso sound tests showed only a slight increase in decibels, it really just changes the tone to a deeper, throatier...
I took it to the Carlisle National Truck Show, it got it's first ducking 😆
I'm not sure if it was a Jeep owner with a sense of humor or some misguided pedestrian thinking it was the newest Wrangler.
These are the stock tires from my Black Diamond rig.
Low mileage, good condition (~5k mileage) - I didn't have the pleasure of taking these offroad.
Anyway, this is less about me making money off these tires than it is clearing space in my tiny garage - hence the lower price. Please buy them.
I...
Mine are currently sitting in my hallway covered in only the finest Target linens. I need to build something.
@VelocityBronco How did you attach the PVC pipe assembly to the dolly?
I wasn't ready for this much perspective on a Wednesday morning.
I'm remembering the almost daily anticipation for new information to trickle out. Rewatching that 2-door Cyber Orange prototype walkthrough a billion times.
It was a rough road, as I think it was (is) for many, but I have to...
@Nomadik
I haven't tried the 3M Squeak Reduction tape - I was (and still!) happy with the additional weather stripping. I don't think the additional weatherstripping will be an issue - the seal is holding up (no leaks), and after a few months it doesn't look like it's causing any accelerated...
@Joey.calc
So I broke down out of impatience and adjusted my passenger quarter panel as per @Ksjrb03 's fix, and it certainly helped (and looks better), but my squeak/rattle persisted. That "crunchy plastic water bottle" noise like in your video.
I had someone crawl in the back to try and...
