Safe to say the SCG Boot race truck has a lot more in common with its $287k counterpart than the "Bronco" race truck does.
Will either of them be seen racing the Hammers?
To be fair, he didn't say it would have any axles at all, so the Bronco might be on skis like a tobboggan according to that. Which works fine in snow or maybe sand, but I think it would be worse than an SFA on the highway. Probably OK on most downhills, but it would suck at rock crawling.
Not much production vehicle here ...
.
And there are still some questions as to whether the chassis was even Ranger/Bronco/T6 related, or just borrowed from a regular cab short box F150.

Big difference between the level of protection or ruggedness needed for 'getting rammed' and having someone slide into you at low speed because they can't make it up a muddy hill.
Who said the R got "rammed by a trophy truck"? Rammed in the skid plate?
Who didn't design their vehicle not to be able to withstand a few collisions? Its an off road race, not Driving Miss Daisy.
I think you can probably count on Jeep pushing a few more 'stock' class units in off road events knowing the Bronco is coming and its showing hasn't been great so far.
It would have been nice if there were some Wranglers in the 'stock' classes of the 1000, but they were the more highly...
What is the name of the next gen F150 frame? If they took that and made it 7 inches shorter or made the crossmembers 1.4 inches narrower, could it be called the next generation of the T6?
It has been said by some insiders (here or on blueoval) that in Fordspeak "T6" just means 'mid size truck...
There was an article out of one of the Australian outlets that implied the next get midsize and half-ton were going to be built on the same modular truck platform. The bodies are only marginally different in size, and this seems like a boon for the midsize vehicles in terms of structural...
The only one I remember is the one I was trying to pressure information about the roof / rear door in using the wording of the UAW documents and a bunch of people utterly missed the point .. even though just a couple posts earlier I said IDGAF.
Trolling more information out of Ford wasn't going...
If you imagine that I'm seeking validation from others after repeatedly saying wildly unpopular factual truths, that's quite a stretch.
Sounds like some more "go away if you don't agree" type of stuff. Sorry I hurt your feelings.
When we knew nothing whatsoever about the Bronco, or how Ford would try to portray it, it made sense that people would use their imagination to fill in the blanks. There are fewer blanks now, but people are struggling with the cognitive dissonance of what they imagine Bronco to be and what it...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I said that a bunch of times too, so no, the point wasn't missed.
There are a lot of other people trying to gloss over the huge disparity between "off road capability" and "does well in a race". It seems like Ford would like to do that too. The parallel between how Jeep...
That was the impression I got from it too. Many of the others took the corner and the crossing more aggressively. Since the SCG was ahead of them at this point, they had already broken down and lost a 30+ miles lead by the time this video was taken though.
