Happened to me but luckily I caught it when they sent me the 22 build sheet and I had them swap it back. Might be best to try to sell it and go aftermarket or try to trade for the one you want.
Here’s what I think happened (and if anyone has better information please let me know). Wrangler 4 doors outsell 2 doors all day. With that information ford counted on more 4 door orders. What they didn’t count on was a huge wave of purist who wanted a 2 door style in the initial run. That plus...
I feel that reservation stamps are out the window entirely. I know Ford says they aren’t but I have my seen anything to indicate they still (if they ever did) hold any weight.
I feel one change we’re gonna see is a lot of people drop Sasquatch and 2.7. Granted if you’re buying a bronco fuel economy probably isn’t high on your priority list but I think some people will drop those because of fuel prices already mixed with ridiculous wait times
So forgive my stupidity but I’m not familiar with alot of new car stuff. At what point is it the dealers vehicle ownership wise? Ford is wrong for doing that but just curious at what point the dealer says “MINE!”
We had a guy locally in the same boat. Solution? He agreed to let them keep it in the show room as a display model (no test drives) until he gets back. Dealers gets to show off new truck, his truck is safe inside waiting for him. Win win.
