I've been having the same issues since the first day it updated. Buzz, static during camera use. Calls going mute. Default reset and came back. Updates have always been set to 1am. I'm just gong to continue to wait, and listen to FM radio.

I’m with you on this. That little magnet works extremely well. I stuck mine on the hartop lip inside the rear cargo area by the window until I decide where I want to put an external one. Might just leave it as it is. Keep it simple right.
Here is where I mounted mine and it fit perfect. Almost like the demensions were made for this unit and the cat5 port fully accessible. I just used some double sided tape as I was not sure if I liked it when I stuck it there. I still need to route everything and zip tie.

Make sure your signal wires arent ran together in the same channel as your power wires. Run one down the drivers side and the other down the passenger.
