I run C rated 38s on a 5600lb rock krawling purpose built Bronco. The C rated tires are softer and wrap around rocks much better. Given the option choose C.
No. Regearing is definitely not a diy swap. Regearing cost is typically about $2000. I didn't regear and chose to replace my axles with stronger ones because I was going to a 5.38" gear ratio.

I am running true 38" tires with a 5.38 gear ratio on 2.3 m. Acceleration off the line is incredible, 5th and 6th gears are now great gears.

Armed with last night's forum pics the shop now said they installed them upside down on the wrong side. Supposedly being corrected Friday morning. Thanks to everyone who has been helping me on this- much appreciated.
I can definitely dispute the charge. At this point I'm trying to wrap my head around exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done to correct it. I will be bringing it elsewhere for any further work.
That is exactly my concern- it hangs even lower than the skid plates and this will be used heavily for rock crawling.
I'm surprised with all of the researching I've done never did I see reservoirs mounted so exposed and prone to immediate damage.
Thanks for the tip- I just sent an email to the shop to ask them to torque paint all of the bolts.
