July 5th 🇺🇸 and back at it! All of the current orders for solid color CHISEL are off the lathe. There are also some that are full raw that are up for gear pattern machining. These pics will be at powder coat on Monday. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 the knobs that were dropped off last week will be ready...
Noted. Thanks.
There's plenty of apology posts on these threads. I honestly don't have the time in the day to do it all. Just keeping up on PMs from the 4 forums, Facebook messenger, and IG DMs is nearly a full time job.
Big picture, people just want what they ordered. Sitting in a chair...
Yeah, I'd rather fire you as a customer then have to deal with threats. Just cancel your order. They're just shackles. Move on with life. No sweat off my back.
We're busy and currently shorthanded. The last thing that gets orders out the door is answering email's about order status. That's the truth. It's a HUGE time killer. There are people emailing us with actual order questions. That's a priority. One day we'll have time to comb through the website...
They'll get to your email. They're doing their best to triage the inbox. Emails with an issue or question about an order they received take precedence over order update requests. Couple that with being shorthanded this summer with folks on vacation and that doesn't speed things up at all.
I think these came from ULine and when they showed up I asked the same thing. 🐓 We have what seems like thousands of them. If you want me to throw one in with every shift knob order, I’ll definitely do that.
UPDATE - 6/30
All CHISELS are through Op-1 and Op-2. The knobs pictured are headed to powdercoat tomorrow. The remainder (roughly the same number of knobs as pictured) are orders that didn’t want the chisel feature post machined. So they’ll essentially be a solid color with the shift pattern...
Well, each day it gets better! What will really help is getting a third CNC machine up and machining MAGNUMS. That's planned for this coming week. That increases production to just over three four door orders per day, without running extended hours. The backlog is still rather chunky. I'll have...
4:38 min of machining on that face alone. Gobs and gobs of surfacing. Another 1:42 on the backside. I still need to weigh it, but I’m guessing 25.5 lbs.
Every machining op, and there are three and sometimes four, depending on the spec of the order are all done on our ST-30Y (with live tooling), along with the threaded adapter, reverse lockout, other stainless steel machined hardware we produce in house for our accessories, and our myriad of...
I had a sweet update all typed out and was close to sending when my phone locked up!
The gist is, if you ordered a WHITE BREAD knob without a lockout lever or were okay with them shipping separately, your order is about to ship out. I’ll get CHISEL pics up soon. These will look a great too!
As...
It took several attempts on aluminum prototype knobs before we were comfortable machining the powdrcoated stainless steel knobs. They’re coming out AWESOME! Between this, our Bronco Meet, and the new wheels this weekend, it’s been a very productive couple of days!
For those that have patiently waited, I'll share some pics of the post machined WHITE BREAD knobs this weekend. We are also hosting a Bronco Meet and Open House on Saturday. If you're local, feel free to stop in from 10-2.

17-4 stainless steel 🙂
If your plan is to not remove them, I’d suggest blue Loctite or even red. If you ever did want to remove them, some heat from a heat gun will loosen the red Loctite enough to run the bolt back out.
