Ditto, just 2 days ago my start up animation went away (23 OBX, lux) and the back-camera was in a different orientation? Hate it when nothing is wrong and an āupdateā messes things that previously were working fine. The new āeconomyā start-up animation is not very appealingā¦(IMO). Come on...
Sad to see the Wildtrack go, that would have been my next trim level, but good to see 2.7 back in the OBX and the body color painted hardtop should be pretty cool.
Short answerā¦Nope!
5 mos. in and an uncovered dirt hauler on Hwy 1 cracked mine! Was pissed at first, but he did me a favor as I no longer have to worry about a cracked windshield, and, (at $1K/per), Iām gonna let it go until I canāt see out of it before replacingā¦cause as soon as itās...
Agree with you Flip that itās generally not needed on dry pavement, but Ford does state in the OM, (at least in my Raptorās OM and thought the Bronco OM as well), that itās OK to operate on dry pavement? I do wish it wouldnāt always engage when selecting Sport mode, I have unselect it every time.
Ditto here in CA, last I heard you canāt even be pulled over just for not having a front plate. However they can still write you up if youāre pulled over for speeding, etc.
Concur and (donāt shoot me š) but if Ford offered the mojito lime green metallic that Wrangler has Iād have bought it for sure! The Bronco is a fun ālifestyleā kind of vehicle that deserves a bright/fun color. Too many grays and not enough fun color choices IMOš
Great looking set up, nice work! I have the Harkin Hoister for my top hoist and it works great, solo operation, was relatively inexpensive (under $200) and came with everything I needed (except the wood crossbeams). Bronco makes a great convertible and having a quick/easy/solo way to remove &...
Ditto this! I like that it dries non-greasy and actually lasts awhile. I do the entire interior with it including the membrane covered leather seating areas.
Tough video to watch, couldnāt get past the 2 min. mark. presenters jumping all over the place. I have the 6112s and they are a fantastic set-up, especially considering I got them on sale for $1450.00 shipped.
Looks great, but wondering how well it will hold up over time? Just hauled two 20lb propane tanks in for refill and they left scuff marks on my Ford OEM rubber cargo mat. Bronco is my daily so need something that will hold up to Home Depot and the occasional lumberyard run.
In 14 mos of ownership Iāve had the hardtop on a total of a month or so. Love the āconvertiblnessā of the Bronco. I have a Spiderweb Shades mesh Bimini cover for the hottest couple of Summer months and a cab cover* tucked under rear seat in case of rain. Having a Harkin Hoister top removal...
Congrats on your new OBXš I have a 23 Lux just over a year old and still smile every time I get behind the wheel (or even walk by it in the garage). If you ever decide to mod the suspension, consider the Bilstein 6112 coilovers with take off SAS wheels and 35x11.50 tires. That way you can...
Wow, thatās an awesome comparison pic and definitely agree about the extended warranty, similar to the Bronco (IMO) too much technology thatās going to eventually fail.
PS. Happy birthday! Just had mine a few days ago, on the 30th.
LOL, and I thought I was the only oneā¦hit that darn headlight switch all the timeš. Had a TKR several years ago so itās numb and half the time canāt tell Iāve bumped it or not, only way I can tell is the āheadlight onā chime when Iām climbing outš
Nice, had not looked at the K1600 b4, will have to check it out. Curious have you any experience with the BMW 1250RS lineup? Always been a fan of sport bikes (still miss my CBR1000RR) but no longer a viable choice now that Iām in my 60ās and looking for a longer distance and more comfortable rideā¦
Speaking of bikes, howās your GS 1300 treating you? All new this year and have been reading solid reviews on it. Will likely be my next bike for longer distance trips.
