Yep, I have a ā21 and used the synchro shift II that all the mustang guys were using to quiet their transmissions. It didnāt help at all. Still driving mine with 25k miles, still grinds but performance wise no issues. Iām waiting until ford finally figures it out, until then Iām just going to...
I replaced with synchroshift 2, absolutely zero difference. I've had noise through a full Charleston summer, noise has never gone away, but shifting has always been good. Glad you got some improvement with shifting.
Contacted another PDR guy that came to the house and was able to take care of it in about 45 minutes, said there wasn't any other metal on the back side of the panel that prevented him from making the repair, looks great now. Just a bit of swirl marks from the polishing he did.
Heās right though, the more people that take them in, the quicker Ford will hopefully get to the bottom of this. All I'm saying is that not everyone interprets this thread the same, I get that it's a car forum, that's how these places are. It's a place you can vent and throw stuff at the wall...
Iām not sure whatās being force fed. There is definitely a problem with the transmission. Replacement has yet to fix it, the TSB doesnāt appear as though it is the answer. Those that have had the TSB done shows quite a bit of wear. There is one person that appears to not be able to drive there...
FWIW I took mine in and said, just document the noise, don't do the TSB, they didn't even bat an eye. I don't think they had any interest in doing the TSB.
I think most people on here are pretty level headed about it because their truck is still driveable. Those that are now having safety issues with high revs, unable to shift are understandably upset. I think people on this forum might be a bit more fired up than the Jeep forum (no idea, I'm not...
No ford pass notification that battery was low. Took it to the dealership, they said the backseat USB ports has āgone badā, no parts to fix it so they disconnected it.
Picked up a hell of a ding in a parking lot. Took it by the best dent repair place in the city. He worked on if for 2 hours, but couldn't get access to the back of the panel. Ford has bonded a metal plate to the outer door skin apparently. Dents are going to be difficult if not impossible to...
