Having lived in places like Colorado and Minnesota with 1st and 2nd Gen Bronco's and having to frequently shift in and out of 2 high to 4 high on icy , snow and wet pavement conditions all in a 5 minute span was just a way of life and never put much thought into it. Living here in Atlanta we...
Interesting you mentioned that I was getting a slight chatter at cold start up for a couple of seconds up until about 12,000 mi when I stopped using the Ford motor oil and switched over to Valvoline full synthetic. Problem solved.
I'm using PPF, Expel, I tinted windows for 20+ years so I went back to my old shop that I used to work at and installed the PPF myself while not exactly the same concept as window tinting but close enough and came out really well. I used their plotter and cut out the rest except the back...
I used the Ford recommended oil(from Ford)the first 4 oil changes. And ever since I bought this Bronco with the 2.7 on cold starts I would hear those cam phasers rattle for 2-3 seconds. 3000 miles ago I couldn't make it to the dealership so I stopped at the local oil change shop and they put in...

This was discussed in earlier threads a while back .You can safely run 87 octane with the Ford performance pro cal tune for the 2 .7 You simply will not see any gains thereby rendering it useless if someone doesn't have any intentions of ever running premium fuel.
Just as the engine...
Yes they do look good! I'm not much into the retro/trim level even though I've owned a few first Gens but the squared off fender flares looks so much better than the current rounded version. If it was a simple and cheap upgrade I would have already done it.
Ford has a history of making bad marketing decisions with the Bronco. Most notable would be 1978 and every subsequent model change until it was discontinued in the mid nineties.
