We're working on some billet aluminum control arms. We're making them in-house (in the good ol' USA) using FK heim joints.
I've had the first set of test arms in my 2dr Badlands for a few months for durability testing and will be going into production soon. These are bare aluminum, production...
Tha M190's I've seen with ratios taller than 3.73 use a special thin gear and have the same carrier offset as a 3.73+ D30. That's how the 3.45s in new JLs are setup at least.
The M220 shares absolutely nothing with the legacy D44. It's a completely new clean-sheet design.
I'm 90% sure they use 1/2" bolts. Some carriers may need the ring gear bolt holes drilled to size, but that's no big deal, very common.
That would be the only potential issue I can think of. JK D30 gears are otherwise 100% compatible with an M190 front axle.
Honestly, there are 2 options.. Putting a locker in your M190 (any 27 spline D30 locker should work like an ARB RD100) or swap the whole front drive unit with an M210 FDU from Ford Performance. the second option would require buying the axleshafts and drive shaft for the M210, but they're all...
I'm having the exact same issue in our 2.3. Check engine light was on at 40 miles with codes for cat efficiency, exhaust pressure sensor, and turbo output lower than expected. I now have 2100 miles and am still waiting for my appointment for the dealer to get it in for repair.
It's definitely...

No issue replacing a 4.27 with a 4.30, especially if you don't have the 4A transfer case.
I appreciate that. I'll pass that on to Lee, it's his YT channel, he just asked me if I'd mind bringing out the Badlands to compare with the JL he had lined up for the day.
Lee's more of a Toyota guy personally, has a very nice 4runner and Tundra. We met a while back on the trail and have...
The Ford parts system shows any rear axles with open differentials as having welded ring gears, all locking diffs as being bolt-on, but I haven't opened enough Bronco axles myself to know for sure. I'm sure we'll know more as we get more of them through the shop.
I can tell you that our manual...
Yup, that’s me in the Bronco. It originallyhad a buildweek of 6/7, ended up getting built 7/15 then stuck on dirt mountain and arrived to the dealership 10/29.
That's my plan. 5.13s or 5.38s and 37s on my 2.3 manual Badlands.
Remember, JK or JL 30 gears in front, but you'll want M220 gears in the rear. We haven't confirmed that JL rear 44 gears are a direct fit, but we'll be tearing into ours in the next few weeks to know for sure.
