We are literally just leaving for our camping trip and I got a warning I've never seen before on the dash of my Bronco with the trailer:
TIRES NOT TRAINED
Has anyone ever seen this before? I did a quick search and I couldn't find anything.
Yeah I really did consider it. I went back and forth. I thought about buying Bronco wheels but I have a Sasquatch. Prices were over $1000 for wheels and tires. Biggest thing for me was that I would have to change the hubs or axle and then they wouldn't fit under the fenders so I would have to...
No I didn't. I considered that but I would have had to change the axle, buy wheels and get 35 inch tires. Plus the wheels would have stuck out a ridiculous amount and I would have had to move the fenders. That cost would have doubled the cost of the trailer. I considered a ton of options and it...
Thank you for the kind words but this is something anyone here could do. Don't sell yourselves short. I have no formal training. Most of what I've learned I did by making mistakes and leaning on friends who showed me. Barring that YouTube is a great resource.
I restored a 1965 Mustang...
I did a lot of searching for several months and was patient. I think I got lucky on the price because nobody wanted to touch that dent. I knew I wasn't going to spend $2000 on a project so for me $225 was worth the gamble. Even with the dent, I wouldn't have worried. This way any damage that...
It's just drum brakes that are manually engaged by the hand lever. Very simple. I would use it at camp if I disconnect by Bronco to keep the trailer from rolling. As far as I know it does nothing while trailering.
Thanks. Yeah I was looking around and couldn't find anything near me under $1000 in military surplus shape. I saw a guy selling some decent looking unrestored ones for $800 but it was several hours away.
